Apple’s latest iOS 26.2 beta 2 may look like a minor update on the surface, but it hides a handful of clever changes. It builds on the changes found in iOS 26.2 beta 1 to deliver an even better experience.

Below are all the changes and tweaks iOS 26.2 beta 2 brings to your iPhone.

Liquid Glass comes to the Measure app

Apple continues updating its system apps with Liquid Glass design as part of iOS 26.2. The Measure app has now fully adapted the Liquid Glass design and features to bubbles to denote this.

There’s also a cool new effect in the Level tool. When the level indicator crosses the horizon, the readings show chromatic aberrations, with the background getting distorted.

Filters in the Game app

iOS 26.2 beta 2 adds a Filters option in the Games app. You can now sort games by their size, name or recently accessed.

Slick new menu animations

Apple has further tweaked system animations in iOS 26.2 beta 2. The menu animations now feature a lot more bounce.

Turn off pinned messages in CarPlay

You can now hide your pinned conversations in the Messages app in CarPlay from Settings.

Enhanced Safety Alerts

The first iOS 26.2 beta added an Enhanced Safety Alerts section on iPhones in select regions. With beta 2, Apple has provided more information about what these alerts will do (via @aaronp613).

“Enhanced Safety Alerts can provide you safety alerts on your iPhone and Watch to notify you of an emergency event, such as an earthquake or flood. These alerts are sent over available connectivity, such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and, when available, mobile data.

Apple can deliver Enhanced Safety Alerts to your current region, which is determined using your device location. A region may be a country, or for some countries (such as the US), a region may be a group of states. Your Apple device can be associated with this region. Apple does not store information about your device location in a region.”

Apple will enable Enhanced Safety Alerts by default in supported regions. They will also appear and sound different from government emergency alerts.

Alongside iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 beta 2, Apple also seeded the second beta of macOS Tahoe 26.2. It adds Edge Light for video calls, turning your MacBook’s screen into a ring light to improve lighting.
