Talking to Siri can be a bit embarrassing when you’re in crowded public spaces, but with iOS 11, Apple is finally allowing users to submit questions to the digital assistant via text.
Apple didn’t mention the new feature during its WWDC 2017 keynote, however it’s already become one of our favorite additions in the new beta because it gives iPhone and iPad owners the closest thing yet to a command line.

Three of the new hardware products Apple unveiled today at WWDC 2017 won’t be available until then end of 2017, but thanks to a hands-on section Apple hosted to developers, you can already get an idea of what it’ll be like to use the new iPad Pro, iMac Pro and HomePod.

Apple’s Feedback app on iOS has been updated ahead of its WWDC keynote later today, and it hints at an interesting new “Drag and Drop” feature coming to iPad in iOS 11.

The temporary shutdown all but confirms new products will be appearing later today. Apple is expected to announce updates to the MacBook Pro lineup, an all-new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and maybe even a Siri-powered smart speaker.
In a spoiler for what Apple might unveil today at its Worldwide Developers Conference, a placeholder app has appeared for “Files” in the App Store.
There are no details about exactly what the app will offer, but it supports only 64-bit architecture, in line with reports that Apple will ditch support for 32-bit apps.
Apple’s first major event of 2017 is right around the corner. WWDC will deliver our first previews of the next big upgrades to its software platforms, with the possibility of new hardware thrown in for good measure.

Apple has published its WWDC schedule ahead of kickoff on Monday morning, but there’s one glaring omission. The company’s annual Apple Design Awards is nowhere to be found.
A fresh new batch of beta updates have just been pushed out to developers today by Apple, bringing a host of bug fixes and other improvements to all of Apple’s platforms.

Apple confirmed today that it’s big keynote on June 5 will be available to view via live streaming. Fans can tune in by watching the event on Apple TV, or through Safari on a Mac, iPhone, or iPad. You can even watch from a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.
Apple hasn’t exactly given the iPad first priority when it comes to iOS updates, but that could change next month at WWDC where the company is expected to unveil iOS 11.
Most of the iOS 11 concepts we’ve seen have been all about the iPhone, but iPad power-user Federico Viticci and Sam Beckett created a beautiful concept that shows some big and simple changes that would transform the iPad from a fun tablet into a pro machine. Features like Finder, Drag and Drop between apps, multi-channel audio and more are on display in the fantastic mockup.

iOS 11 will deliver a new Music app with a focus on original videos, according to Jimmy Iovine. The Apple Music chief says the service could add many as 10 original video series by the end of this year, including Carpool Karaoke and will.i.am’s Planet of the Apps, while Apple is also in talks to secure content from J.J. Abrams and R. Kelly.
Apple is expected to ditch the Home button with the iPhone 8, but that could create some new problems, like, “How will you get back to the Home screen?”
Switching between apps wouldn’t be the same without a Home button to click. An interesting new iPhone 8 concept out of Italy explores how changes within iOS could provide a seamless experience if Apple removes the only navigation button on the iPhone.
