Dropbox Teams is a new service that the popular cloud storage and sync service is offering to small businesses and professional groups. The new plan is designed to encourage collaboration and large data transfers between a limited group of people.

The service will start at $795 per year for up to five users, with $125 per additional user. Dropbox uses Amazon’s S3 backend for secure data transfers with AES-256 bit encryption. Customers are able to access their shared Dropbox folders on a array of devices, including the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac.

Bloomberg and DirectTV have both announced live video streaming services today that offer on-demand video content for iPad users.

Bloomberg TV+ offers free, live 24-hour coverage from its network on the iPad and the ability to download content for watching offline. DirectTV’s iPad app offers free, live TV for its customers.

Apple is issuing another reset of iTunes Match for tomorrow, October 27th. The wipe applies to developers that have been beta testing the service for the last couple of months.

Beta testers are asked to disable iTunes Match on their iOS devices and computers for the reset tomorrow. All saved libraries will be erased. Apple is expected to launch iTunes Match to the public very soon.

Besides his signature black turtleneck, New Balance sneakers, and blue jeans, Steve Jobs was known for his silver Mercedes SL55 AMG. What was perhaps most interesting about Jobs’ ride was the fact that it never had a license plate.

Jobs’ Mercedes was photographed many times over the last several years, but the car was always plate-free. How did he do it? Did he pay the fine every time he was confronted by the police? Did he obtain a special permit? Did he just get lucky?

The answer is actually very simple.

Apple has filed its annual 10-K form with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the fiscal year. The company’s spending has increased and there has been a considerable number of new employees added to the payroll since last year.

Pixelmator is a very popular image editing tool for the Mac that serves as a much cheaper alternative to Photoshop. The app sports a gorgeous interface that looks like it could have been designed by Apple itself.

Version 2.0 of Pixelmator will launch tomorrow in the Mac App Store with a host of new image editing features, including content-aware fill and support for OS X Lion’s Versions and Auto Save features.

Most of us are hopefully unfamiliar with the prison scene, so Gizmodo has taken an interesting look at technology in California’s San Quentin State Prison. The series is called “Lockdown,” and the latest installment focuses on how smartphones are used behind bars.

Phones in prison are a hot item, going for $300 to $700 behind bars. Inmates use them to communicate with the outside world and orchestrate nefarious activities like drug drop-offs. Prisoners will do basically anything to keep an iPhone from being confiscated. And we do mean anything.

Brent Schlender has worked for a number of publications over the years, and has served in positions like lead technology reporter for the Wall Street Journal. Now serving as a contributor for Fortune, Schlender has covered Steve Jobs for the past 25 years on numerous occasions.

In a recent article on Fortune, Schlender tells of “chapters in his [Jobs’s] story I was never able to tell, either because they would violate a personal confidence or because what I had learned didn’t really fit into a typical analytical business story.”

Some particularly fond memories of Jobs are included in Schlender’s anecdotes, including Jobs’s plan to ‘fix’ AOL in 2003, the time he previewed the original Toy Story to a group of kids, and when he decided to take extended medical leave from Apple in 2008.

“BOOM!” That’s what Steve Jobs said when he demoed the Slide to Unlock gesture on the iPhone in January of 2007. Whether you’re on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, you always have to slide your finger across that slider to get past the Lock screen. It’s become a staple aspect of iOS and Apple’s mobile products.

The United States Patent & Trademark Office granted Apple the patent for Slide to Unlock today. This means that no other company can use the gesture without infringing on Apple’s new patent. Boom.

During the initial iPhone 4S buzz we told you that Apple’s newest smartphone is among a class of new devices with Bluetooth 4.0. Apple’s most recent MacBook Airs and Mac minis also sport the technology.

Bluetooth 4.0 has been rebranded as “Bluetooth Smart” and “Bluetooth Smart Ready.” The technology focuses on low-energy consumption and will be present in all kinds of consumer products moving forward.

Bloomberg reports that the original creator of iTunes, Jeff Robbin, is allegedly working on Apple’s upcoming TV set. Robbin also helped co-launch the original iPod with Tony Fadell.

The report cites “three people with knowledge of the project” and notes that Robbin’s involvement is “a sign of Apple’s commitment to extending its leadership in smartphones and tablets into the living room.”

The official Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson went live on the iBookstore and Amazon last night, and the title hit shelves everywhere this morning.

Initial pre-orders of the bio ushered it to the top of the charts on Amazon, and after less than 24 hours of availability, the book is on track to become Amazon’s best-selling title of 2011.

Serial entrepreneur Kevin Rose is known for founding companies like Digg and Revision3. He now works at an app development company he started called “Milk.”

Rose demoed his newest creation at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco last week. “Oink” is an upcoming app that lets users rank and share things with each other. Taking cues from Digg, the platform will act as an all-encompassing tool for finding the best things out there — whether you’re in need of a good massage or a slice of pizza.

The world’s largest carrier, China Mobile, has over 600 million wireless subscribers. 10 million of these customers have iPhones despite that fact that China Mobile is not an official Apple partner.

What’s even more surprising is that the iPhone isn’t currently compatible with China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA 3G network, meaning that these 10 million unofficial iPhone users are all limited to 2G data speeds.

One of the new features Apple added in the App Store alongside iCloud and iOS 5 is the ability to re-download all of your purchases on any authenticated iOS device. This means that all of your purchased apps are available to see and download in the App Store at any time.

If having a concrete record of all your past app purchases isn’t really your thing, you can actually hide specific App Store purchases.

The official Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson is now available in the U.S. iBookstore. The book officially goes on sale tomorrow, but it has been popping up early on Amazon Kindle stores and iBookstores around the world.

Simply titled “Steve Jobs,” the biography takes a thorough look at the many sides of Jobs and the stories surrounding his rise to becoming one of America’s greatest innovators and CEOs.

Apple has posted the entire video recording of its company celebration of Steve Jobs’ life. The event was filmed at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California and retail employees watched via a live feed around the world during the event.

The celebration took place October 19th, 2011 and clocks in at 80 minutes. You can watch it on Apple’s website.

CBS has posted its complete 60 Minutes interview with Steve Jobs Biographer Walter Isaacson.

The episode is divided into three main parts with one special feature for the web. The full interview transcript is also available for reading. Isaacson’s biography of Jobs will officially go on sale tomorrow, and the book has begun to appear already in certain iBook stores around the world.

Apple recently revamped its iPhone lineup with a 8GB iPhone 4 for $99 and a free iPhone 3GS with a two-year contract on AT&T. The iPhone 4S was made available on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint at the regular $199 starting price.

CEO of AT&T Mobility Ralph de la Vega held a conference call with analysts today to discuss consumer demand for Apple’s cheaper iPhones. AT&T is seeing “tremendous, tremendous demand” for the iPhone 3GS.

Apple is known for offering the best customer service in the consumer technology market, and the company scores above its competitors in customer satisfaction surveys every year.

A particular story tells of how an Apple store manager broke a rule during the Steve Jobs’ celebration yesterday to earn a new, 10-year-old customer for life.

Apple has posted an official image from today’s celebration of Steve Jobs’ life. This afternoon Apple held a celebration to honor Jobs at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Aerial footage of today’s event shows tens of thousands employees gathered to honor Jobs’ legacy. Artists like Nora Jones and Coldplay played music at the event.

The above photo shows Apple CEO Tim Cook addressing Apple employees at the gathering. Retail employees from around the world watched the celebration today from their respective Apple Stores via a live feed.

Interactive Innovation Solutions has released an iPhone app for Google Music called gMusic. Members of Google’s music locker service can stream up to 20,000 tracks from the iPhone.

gMusic looks and feels almost exactly like the native Music app in iOS 5, and it offers a native experience over the web app that Google offers its customers.

The developers for popular to-do app Remember the Milk have found a way to integrate their app with Siri, Apple’s new voice assistant in the iPhone 4S.

Once you get the workaround up and running, Siri uses Remember the Milk to create and sync reminders in iOS 5. You can dictate a reminder to Siri normally, except you’ll actually be using Remember the Milk as well.

You may recall the Flashback.A OS X trojan that Apple patched last month. The virus disguised itself as the official Adobe Flash Player installer and connected to an unknown server to secretly download and run unsigned code.

According to F-Secure, the Flashback trojan is back again in a new variant that’s capable of disabling Apple’s anti-malware tool from auto-updating.
