Apple revealed today that it plans to invest $1.3 billion into a new data center in Waukee, Iowa, that will help create more than 550 construction and operations jobs in the city near Des Moines. Apple CEO Tim Cook was spotted making his annual visit to the Sun Valley media retreat in Idaho today. Cook has been a regular attendee of the conference since he took the reigns of Apple in 2012.
It’s July 4, a.k.a. Independence Day — and to mark the occasion Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken to Twitter with a message wishing everyone a happy holiday.

This is something Cook has publicly discussed before. When Apple debuted its kid-focused Swift Playgrounds app, he said, “We believe coding should be a required language in all schools.”
