Foxconn swears its committed to bringing 13,000 jobs to Wisconsin just two days after the state’s governor said it wants out from its deal with the Taiwanese company.

Wisconsin governor Tony Evers, who inherited the deal when he took over office in January, said recently that he wants to renegotiate the parameters of the deal that gives Foxconn $4 billion in tax breaks. Not wanting to miss out on all those incentives, Foxconn is adamant about maintaining its course.

Instagrammers’ obsession with likes might be coming to an abrupt end.

The photo sharing social network revealed today that it is looking into ways to alleviate pressure on its app. One of the proposed ways is to remove the like count from photos so that they’re only visible to the person that posted the pic or video.

Apple likely paid $6 billion in Qualcomm settlement

Qualcomm probably didn’t get the full $7 billion payment it was hoping to score from Apple as a result of the two companies’ wide-ranging legal battle.

Full details of the settlement between Apple and Qualcomm weren’t revealed when the two sides announced their truce earlier this week. However, an UBS analyst used Qualcomm’s recent guidance to estimate how much Apple agreed to pay and it looks like both sides made some small compromises.

Pair of lawsuits claim Apple mislead investors on falling iPhone sales

Did Apple mislead investors by not coming clean sooner about the drop in iPhone sales? That’s what a pair of new class action lawsuits suggest.

The suits were filed by City of Roseville employees’ retirement fund and the Schall Law Firm, a national shareholder rights litigation firm. They allege that Apple made false or misleading statements that failed to properly disclose its iPhone sales stumble. This could, they suggest, amount to securities fraud.
