In today’s Apple keynote, we got another look at the the new iOS 11 for iPhone and iPad. There are a lot of great new features for both devices — person-to-person Apple Pay, an all-new App Store, improved Siri, and a new kind of social network built around Apple Music. But the iPad is the real winner. iOS 11 brings multitasking features that unchain Apple’s “big iPhone,” and turn it into a computer to rival any Mac or PC.

Apple’s been working on its own wireless charging accessory, but don’t necessarily expect to see it to ship alongside the company’s new iPhones.
That’s according to respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. While the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will reportedly all support wireless inductive charging standards, users must settle for third-party Qi chargers (at least at first).

The first public showcase of Apple Park’s Steve Jobs Theater will be one of the most exciting things about today’s big iPhone X event.
Apple owns the venue, rather than having to rent a big space for the media blitz. However, gaining the necessary permission to use the Steve Jobs Theater wasn’t guaranteed.
Then and now -- the original iPhone wallpaper, and the new version for the iPhone X. Photo: Apple/Cult of Mac
The iPhone X comes 10 years after the original iPhone. Even the name itself could be a not-so-subtle homage to this: Apple used X, the Roman numeral for 10, for years to name the Mac’s OS X operating system. But there is another 10th anniversary reference in the new iPhone X: It comes with an updated version of the original iPhone’s iconic wallpaper.

Apple is set to unveil its new lineup of iPhones during an event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino on September 12. This year’s model has been hyped more than any in recent memory. The iPhone X will officially be the most powerful iOS device Apple’s ever made, based on information from the leaked iOS 11 GM.
Apple’s new A11 chip will pack six cores for unprecedented processing power in an iPhone. And with all the new augmented reality and 3D scanning features its set to receive, it’s gonna need all the power it can get.
After Apple ranked third in Fortune’s annual list of companies that Change the World, Tim Cook sat down for a wide-ranging interview to discuss how Apple is making a dent in the universe now.
The Apple CEO talked about everything from education and health initiatives to how Cupertino thinks different about charity. He also revealed that some of Apple’s research and development regarding health and wellness won’t ever be about making money.

iPhone X might be insanely expensive, but that won’t prevent it from becoming the best-selling Apple smartphone to date. What might scupper sales is incredibly short supply.
According to one reliable analyst, iPhone X production, as it currently stands, has no hope of keeping up with early demand.

The iPhone X isn't going to be a guaranteed smash hit in China. Photo: Cult of Mac
The iPhone X is all but guaranteed to carry Apple’s biggest ever iPhone price tag, and that could severely damage its chances of success in China, a new report claims.
With the rumored $1,000 asking price being roughly twice the average Chinese monthly salary, it is likely that the price will see the iPhone’s Chinese market share continue its decline.
