Netflix came out with a new update today that takes the streaming service’s audio quality to a new level. Sound is supposed to be “more crisp and more intense” so that it gets you more immersed in the story.

Wall Street received surprisingly better-than-expected news from Apple’s Q2 2019 earnings report today — and the stock is soaring in after-hours trading.

Wall Street is anxiously awaiting Apple’s earnings report for the second quarter of 2019 that will be delivered on Tuesday, April 30. Apple’s stock value has risen about 30% this year even though iPhone sales are slowing.

Most analysts predict that nearly all of Apple’s numbers will be down compared to the same quarter last year, but there are few bright spots that could cause the company’s stock price to surge. After looking at the analysts’ numbers, we’ve found a couple of key areas to watch for.

Apple seeded the fourth beta of iOS 12.3 to developers this morning, just one week after the last beta was released. iOS 12.3 beta 4 brings with it a number of changes for iPhone and iPad, including changes to the Apple TV app, Wallet app tweaks and tons of bug fixes.

Update: The public can now also download iOS 12.3 beta 4, allowing anyone to test out the new features.

Apple is back with a brand new batch of beta software for developers, including the third beta of iOS 12.3.

Update: The public can now also install the latest iOS beta on their iPhone or iPad.

The iOS 12.3 beta arrives two weeks after the last version came out, bringing with it new features to the Apple TV app along with plenty of bug fixes. There are also new beta builds for macOS 10.14.5, tvOS 12.3 and watchOS 5.2.1.

Apple is gearing up for the launch of its Apple TV+ streaming service this fall with the creation of a new YouTube channel dedicated to movie and TV shows.

The channel serves up teasers, clips, behind the scenes looks, interviews and more about upcoming shows. While Apple’s lineup of original TV shows are still in development, Apple is focusing on other shows, like Game of Thrones which is in the middle of its final season.

In its latest report to investors, Netflix cited Disney and Apple as its biggest upcoming competition, but instead of fearing the two companies’ platforms, Netflix swears its actually excited about the competition.

Captain America star Chris Evans is already hard at work on his next project now that Avengers: Endgame is nearly ready to hit theaters.

Evans was spotted on the set of his upcoming TV series, Defending Jacob, which is being made for Apple TV+. Evans shaved his beard for Endgame but it looks like it’s making a comeback in the Apple TV series.

Terry Gilliam’s 1981 movie Time Bandits is set to get the TV series treatment by Apple, but in a recent interview, Gilliam revealed he’s still not sure how involved he will be in the project.

Despite already getting an executive producer credit for the series, Gilliam says he still hasn’t signed his contract for the show. Even though he claims he’s delighted that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is taking the lead on the pilot episode, Gilliam is concerned about the overall tone of the show.

Wiz Khalifa is the latest rapper to receive the documentary treatment courtesy of Apple Music. Wiz Khalifa: Behind the Cam is set to debut this month on Apple’s streaming music platform.

The multi-part docuseries will feature footage from throughout the rapper’s career. If you’re a fan of Khalifa’s music, all five episodes will be available to binge watch on April 17.

Just when you think that Apple can’t get any bigger names for its TV+ service, it surprises you! Today, it was revealed that the U.K.’s Prince Harry, a.k.a the Duke of Sussex, has partnered with Oprah Winfrey for a new series.

Both parties are acting as co-creators and executive producers for a series on mental health. It will debut for Apple in 2020.

Horror master Stephen King will adapt his favorite novel, Lisey’s Story, into a TV series staring Oscar-winner Julianne Moore. This will be presented on the recently unveiled Apple TV+ service.

Lisey’s Story combines romance and psychological horror, and earned King a nomination for the World Fantasy Award in 2007.

Netflix mysteriously drops support for AirPlay [Updated]

You can no longer stream Netflix programs from your iPhone to a big-screen TV via AirPlay.

This feature, which has been available for many years, disappeared just a few days after the announcement of Apple TV+, a rival streaming service. The timing has brought accusations that Netflix stripped out AirPlay in retaliation.

Developers just received the first beta build of iOS 12.3 this morning, bringing a bunch of new features and bug fixes to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. There is also a new beta for tvOS 12.3 available.
