Obviously, the best way to get the new iPad on launch day was to pre-order it as soon as Apple’s website came back up. That option is now gone and you’re looking at shipping times of 2-3 weeks before you can get a new iPad in your hands.

It’s ok. Despite everything Samsung says, waiting in line for the iPad isn’t that bad. In fact, it can even be a lot of fun. Over at 9to5Mac, everyone’s favorite teenage tech space Tintin, Mark Gurman, managed to get his hands on some soon-to-be-posted retail art that confirms the new iPad will go on sale starting at 8 a.m. on Friday. In other words, doors at your local Apple Store will be opening two hours early to accommodate the crush.

It’s a little under four days until the new iPad begins going on sale at Apple Stores around the counry, and there’s still no word when they’ll officially behin going on sale. Will Apple Stores open early to accomodatethe clammoring hordes, or will they open at the usual hour? And even if they do, will Apple start selling the iPad late in the afternoon, as they did last year?

Last year, Apple opened their stores early to help people get their iPad 2s, and it’s starting to look like Apple might do the same this year.

Apple fans hoping to be the first to get their hands on the company’s latest iPad have already begun lining up outside of its flagship retail stores ahead of the device’s launch this Friday, March 16.

You can now pre-order a new iPad from RadioShack with the purchase of a $50 gift card. Like Apple’s online store, pre-orders are guaranteed to deliver when the device goes on sale Friday, March 16th. As the first retailer besides Apple to offer the new iPad, RadioShack will also be offering AppleCare+ for iPad alongside Target, Apple, and carrier partners.

If you’re anything like me, now that you’ve pre-ordered your new iPad, you’ll be obsessing over its order status.  You know it’s not going to arrive until March 16, but once every hour you’ll logon to the Apple online store to see how your package is getting on anyway.

Tourists wandering into Apple Stores in six cities around the globe found themselves in the middle of a media storm about the Cupertino company’s labor policies in China.

Apple could be set to bring its popular retail stores to India following the Indian government’s decision to allow 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) in the retail sector.
