Apple is set to open its first retail store in The Netherlands tomorrow, and it looks gorgeous. Located in the historic Hirsch building, the museum-like store features ornate, regal architecture and a beautiful glass staircase.
Photographer Thomas Schlijper has posted several images from inside the new Amsterdam store.
Thanks to this new location in The Netherlands, Apple has a physical retail presence in 12 countries worldwide. More images from Amsterdam are available on Schlijper’s personal website.

And here I thought “New Amsterdam” was a name given to New York, long, long ago. Hence the blue and orange of the Netherlands for the Mets & Knicks.
