Apple launched a new ad campaign this week with two new short spots that showcase the superior shooting skills of the iPhone 7 Plus’ new Portrait Mode.
Both of the new ads highlight how to use Portrait Mode to elevate your pictures of people or pets to an all-new level. The new feature is technically still in beta, but it looks like Apple thinks it’s ready for its close-up.

“It’s now liberals’ turn to become doomsday prepping gun nuts, they just need survival products tailored to our lifestyle,” he said during the most recent Real Time With Bill Maher. To get liberals to love guns, Maher suggests Apple make one called the “Apple iDefender.”

The funny new ad shows off the iPhone 7’s new stereo speakers and waterproofing in a scene that follows an old man at the pool. Titled “Dive.” the ad leads up to a dramatic conclusion when the old man reaches the high dive while blasting tunes.

Construction on Apple’s spaceship campus is finally coming closer to an end. The latest batch of drone videos reveal the construction site now has fewer cranes and a lot more trees.
Apple pushed back the move in date to mid-2017 and it looks like there’s still some serious work to be done. The main spaceship building still isn’t completed and the tunnel to the garage still needs to be covered in dirt.

The technology behind the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro couldn’t have been possible if Apple didn’t already make iOS devices, according to Apple’s VP of Software engineering, Craig Federighi.
After helping reveal the new MacBook Pro during Apple’s “Hello Again” keynote, Federighi explained to YouTuber Marques Brownlee that even though Touch Bar seems like an obvious evolution, Apple didn’t want to just slap a touchscreen on the MacBook and call it good. So the company spent years making sure Touch Bar would be something you’ll want to use immediately.

Google today rolled out a big update for its official iOS app, adding the ability to activate incognito mode, support for YouTube playback within search results, and more. The release makes the Google app “more private, video-friendly and stable,” the company says.
Google is launching a new YouTube Go app that will finally allow users to download videos for offline playback. You’ll be able to choose the quality of the video you save, and the app will tell you exactly how much storage space is required for each clip.
