At this point in the rumor cycle, it would be easier to list things we don’t know about the iPhone 5C. Apple’s lower-cost model will likely be announced alongside the 5S on September 10, and it will probably look a lot like the iPhone 5. The main difference is the plastic shell, which will reportedly come in several colors.

We’ve seen leaked parts for just about every 5C color already, and now some closeup images have surfaced of a blue shell.

What you see above comes from Tactus, a reliable parts leaker that was one of the first to go hands-on with 5C parts earlier this year. The company’s sources are saying Apple will offer the 5C in white, black, red, yellow, blue and green. The iPod touch currently sells in black, white, pink, yellow, blue and red.

German retail chain Media Markt has added a 128GB iPhone 5 model to its inventory, sparking speculation that Apple could be planning to double the handset’s maximum internal storage at its iPhone event on September 10. The iPhone 5 is currently available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB variants, but a 128GB model is sure to appeal to plenty of customers.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities is one of the few analysts who routinely predicts Apple’s moves correctly. Yesterday, Kuo sent out a research note to investors that was filled with details about the iPhone 5S, including Kuo’s belief that we will see a gold-colored iPhone 5S available with 128GB of storage.

Although we expect the iPhone 5S to look a lot like the iPhone 5, there may be one model that won’t be confused with its predecessor — a white and gold one. It’s been the subject of countless rumors in recent months, and this photo, posted to Chinese social networking site Weibo, could prove it’s real.

The low-cost “iPhone 5C” hasn’t been announced yet, but it already feels like we’re pretty familiar with it — mostly because we’ve seen so many pictures of its plastic rear shell. But most of those — the high quality ones, at least — have included the white model.

We expect the upcoming iPhone 5S to look a lot like the iPhone 5, so its biggest changes will all be internal. We’re likely to see a faster processor and better graphics, an improved camera, and if we’re really lucky, a fingerprint scanner. This purported iPhone 5S rear shell shows the changes Apple has made to the handset’s design to accommodate the new components.

There’s been a recurring theme with the iPhone its debut in 2007, and that’s that every model Apple releases sells significantly better than the last. Phil Schiller once said that each new iPhone model sells as many units as all previous models combined, and analysts expect to see a similar trend this fall with the iPhone 5S.

In fact, one analyst predicts the new iPhone will be “the most successful product launch ever in the history of Apple.”

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster might be a bit of a laughing stock when it comes to the so-called Apple HDTV, but he’s still one of the go-to soothsayers for investors looking for an early heads-up on what Apple might do next. In a new report, Munster is making a rather strange claim: he says that Apple’s low-budget iPhone 5C will ship without Siri.

Although it was hard to believe first, it’s looking increasingly likely that Apple’s forthcoming foray into the mid-range market, the iPhone 5C, will come in that cheap, colorful plastic casing we’ve seen leaking out of China time and time again over the past few weeks.

More proof for the pudding? We’ve seen the physical casing of the iPhone 5C before, but it never had any guts. Now, we’re starting to see other parts, and they match. Case in point? Volume buttons, in red, green, yellow and blue.
