Streaming Friday (or really Thursday night, per typical Apple TV+ practice), Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical — the first Peanuts musical in more than three decades — sees Charlie Brown and the gang trying to save their beloved summer camp from going bust. And the music part is no joke here, featuring songs from singer-songwriter Ben Folds and other award-winning composers. Watch the recent trailer below.

Reviews so far seem quite positive. The New York Times talked about the show’s “new direction,” depicting Charlie Brown’s triumph while celebrating Charles M. Schulz’s legacy 25 years after his death and 75 years after the birth of his iconic comic strip. Nerds that Geek calls the musical numbers “a real treat.” The San Francisco Chronicle said it “charms with heart and songs” and “hits the right notes.”

Apple TV+ will give Peanuts fans something to sing about this summer. Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical premieres July 18, 2025, marking the first musical special featuring Charles Schulz’s beloved characters in over three decades.

Just in time for Christmas, Apple TV+ cooked up a brand-new holiday special from the Peanuts gang. The charming show, titled Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne, debuts Friday and centers on Lucy’s attempt to pull off a New Year’s Eve party.

It will run alongside several classic Peanuts specials on the streaming service, so we don’t have to judge the new one in a vacuum. Luckily, For Auld Lang Syne pops the cork on some of that old-fashioned holiday magic that makes the Peanuts special so … special.

For Auld Lang Syne will be the first new Peanuts holiday special since 2002, and a trailer released Monday gives a preview. Lucy puts on a New Year’s Eve party but must deal with nothing going right.

The special, set to start streaming in December, looks like a turnaround for Lucy, whose arrogance, bossiness and cruelty generally gets her cast as the villain.

Apple TV+ released its trailer on Tuesday for season two of it Daytime-Emmy-nominated series Snoopy in Space. After the first season’s visits to the moon and the International Space Station, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang get ready for a journey across the universe in search of life.

Season 2 of Snoopy in Space premieres all 12 episodes on Friday, November 12, on Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ plans a Dec. 10, debut for its first new Peanuts special after a deal struck with production companies last year. Entitled For Auld Lang Syne, it features the classic gang of cartoon kids trying to throw the greatest-ever New Year’s Eve party.

Free training sessions at Apple Stores ended with the pandemic, but have now moved to YouTube. The first of these online Today at Apple sessions shows how to draw yourself as a Peanuts character.

It’s not complicated — Peanuts characters are relatively simple shapes. Even so, there’s plenty of room for customization. Plus, all the software is free and not even a stylus is required.

Whether it’s the classic Peanuts holidays specials or newer series like Snoopy in Space, Apple TV+ is the home of all things Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang these days.
