If you’ve long found yourself unable to communicate effectively with your friends because of the lack of “bacon,” “shark” and “man in tuxedo” emojis, you could be in luck next year.
That’e because the Unicode Consortium, aka the Mountain View, California-based organization that standardizes characters and emoji across different operating systems — is set to add 38 all-new emojis to its Unicode 9.0 update.
Arriving in June 2016, they should find their way onto iOS not long after. Here’s what you can expect:
· Face with cowboy hat
· Clown face
· Nauseated face
· Rolling on the floor laughing
· Drooling face
· Lying face
· “Call me” hand
· Selfie
· Raised back of hand
· Left-facing fist
· Right-facing fist
· Handshake
· Hand with first and index finger crossed
· Pregnant woman
· Face palm
· Shrug
· Man dancing
· Prince
· Man in tuxedo
· Mother Christmas
· Wilted flower
· Scooter
· Motor scooter
· Octagonal sign
· Clinking glasses
· Black heart
· Croissant
· Avocado
· Cucumber
· Bacon
· Potato
· Carrot
· Fox face
· Eagle
· Duck
· Bat
· Shark
· Owl
The last time iOS got a major emoji boost was with the launch of iOS 8.3, which introduced a host of new racially diverse emoji as well as the secret Spock emoji. Next year’s emojis might not be quite so pressing, but — hey — who’s going to turn down bacon?

Really, what takes them so long to put out new emojis? There should be new ones added in every update.
Still no middle finger?
Still need the middle finger and I’d like a broom as well.
The internet needs to come to a decision as to which current emoji that will be universally recognized (like the eggplant and peach) and screw the consortium ;)
Is it a Call Me Hand or Hang Ten Hand? ;-)
No Taco???!!!!
