A leaked iOS 26 internal build has revealed several new features Apple plans to introduce with iOS 26.4. This will include credit card autofill support for third-party apps, folders in Freeform and a Sports tier in Apple TV.
The company will supposedly also introduce additional security measures with the update.
Third-party credit card autofill
Apple has used the first two point releases of iOS 26 to refine Liquid Glass, with only minor feature additions so far.
That approach may soon change. All signs suggest iOS 26.4 will be a much bigger update, with Apple’s long-awaited revamped Siri expected to be one of its headline features.
A new Macworld report details several upcoming features in iOS 26.4. Apple is supposedly working on the ability to detect when you enter credit card details in third-party apps and offer the option to save them in iCloud Keychain. Currently, this feature only works when using Safari.
With the change, third-party apps would also be able to securely access saved card details for seamless autofill.
Apple’s Freeform app will apparently gain support for folders in iOS 26.4 for better organization.
Additionally, Apple plans to introduce a dedicated Sports tier for Apple TV. Given the company’s aggressive investment in sports rights, this move won’t be surprising. The new Apple TV Sports tier could debut alongside iOS 26.4 sometime next year.
New security measures
In a bid to further bolster security, the leaked iOS 26 internal build points to Apple introducing a new validation system. It will check the device’s integrity before enabling it to log in to Apple ID and iCloud.
As part of iOS 26.4, Apple will also seemingly add a new “Precise Outdoor Location” tracking feature to the AirPods. It should enable precise tracking of the earbuds using the Find My app.
While not mentioned, the feature could be limited to the AirPods Pro 3 and rely on its new U2 Ultra Wideband chip.
The leaked iOS 26 internal build also spills the beans on some iOS 27 features. Apple will purportedly improve collections in the Photos app and introduce a new pairing system for AirPods.
Since the report is based on an early leaked iOS 26 internal build, Apple could always change the release timeline of some features, pushing them back for later.
