Some huge new details about this year’s iPhone 11 refresh have been spilled by an apparent Foxconn insider.

In a leaked email, the employee claims Apple will add a brand new color option to its smartphone lineup this fall. They also say that the back of this year’s devices will get a new, not-so-slippery finish.

Apple and its suppliers soared on the news that the iPhone would not be hit by tariffs in President Trump’s ongoing trade skirmish with China.

AAPL reached as high as $209.90 Tuesday. It started the day hovering around $200. That’s an increase of around 4.2%. Meanwhile, suppliers in Japan enjoyed a good trading day Wednesday. Some stocks jumped as up 6%.

Apple had a disappointing last quarter in Europe, where iPhone market share fell by a significant 17%. Into the space previously held by Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi made the biggest gains.

Samsung grew its market presence by 20% versus this time last year. In doing so, it’s almost tripling Apple’s market share. Xiaomi, meanwhile, increased 48%, although it still lags behind Apple.

Apple expands bug program with monstrous $1 million bounty

Apple is ready to pay a bigger bounty than any other tech company when it comes to finding bugs on the iPhone or other Apple products.

The iPhone-maker revealed today at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas that it will now pay up to $1 million for some discovered vulnerabilities, up from the $200,000 it offered when the bug bounty program began three years ago.

Samsung unveiled its latest answer to the iPhone today during an event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The new Galaxy Note 10 is undoubtedly one of the prettiest smartphones Samsung has ever come out with, thanks to its giant display with a pinhole cutout for the camera. This year’s Note 10 lineup comes in two different varieties. The Note 10 comes with a 6.3-inch display, while the monstrous Note 10 Plus packs a 6.8-inch display. Fake iPhone smuggler gets 3-year prison sentence

A Chinese national caught smuggling fake Apple products into the United States has been handed a three-year prison sentence.

Jianhua “Jeff” Li pled guilty to trafficking more than 40,000 devices, including counterfeit iPhone and iPad knockoffs, back in February. He made more than $1.1 million from the scheme.
