Developers found no reference to Apple Watch Series 3 in the iOS 11 GM code, but we’re still confident the new wearable will get its grand unveiling tomorrow.
The device has already appeared inside iOS 11 itself, and now it’s even popping up in the official Verizon app.
The iPhone X is all but guaranteed to carry Apple’s biggest ever iPhone price tag, and that could severely damage its chances of success in China, a new report claims.
With the rumored $1,000 asking price being roughly twice the average Chinese monthly salary, it is likely that the price will see the iPhone’s Chinese market share continue its decline.
We know a whole lot about Apple’s new iPhone X handset due to various leaks. One thing we haven’t heard up until now, however, is how waterproof Apple’s new flagship device will prove to be.
While there’s still no definite confirmation, a new patent application granted to Apple in Taiwan suggests that Apple’s new iPhone may have waterproofing to match its Samsung marketplace rival, the Galaxy S8.
Apple has designed a whole bunch of awesome new wallpapers for iPhone and iPad that will be available in iOS 11. They weren’t present in earlier beta releases, but they are available in the iOS 11 GM that leaked out on Friday.
Here’s what they look like — and how to get them.
Apple’s big push into augmented reality will grow even greater with the powerful new hardware packed into iPhone X. The device is expected to bring new camera technologies that, combined with iOS 11, make AR experiences even greater.
The new Apple TV, expected to make its debut alongside iPhone X at a special event on Tuesday, will need powerful new internals to drive super-sharp 4K video.
According to the latest discoveries in Apple’s own code, “Apple TV 4K” will have just that. It will rock the same processor as the latest iPad Pro — plus ample RAM — to become by far the most powerful Apple TV yet.
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith has shared more information about the upcoming iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, as well as the high-end iPhone X. Troughton Smith’s new information relates to both the RAM and camera specs of the new devices, which are scheduled to be unveiled tomorrow — following one of the biggest leaks in Apple history.
If you’ve been keeping up with the iPhone 8 rumors, you’ll know exactly what to expect from Apple’s big refresh this fall. But for the vast majority of fans, the upgrade will come as a huge surprise.
One survey has found that for ordinary iPhone users, the urge to upgrade is no more significant than it has been for previous, more incremental releases.
Apple will pack lasers into the iPhone 8 to deliver improved augmented reality and autofocus, according to a new report. One source says that the rear-facing sensor will provide better depth perception in ARKit apps, and sharper photos.
Thanks to a bevy of leaks that flooded the internet this week, we know more about the iPhone 8 than ever before. Even if only half the rumors turn out to be true, this year’s iPhone is set to be the most innovative device Apple has made in years.
Here’s what we know so far.
The iPhone 8 may take some design cues from the Apple Watch, if the latest rumor out of Asia turns out to be true.
Apple will supposedly use an improved version of the Apple Watch’s stainless steel as the frame for the new iPhone 8. Glass in the front and the back will sandwich the stainless steel plate on the iPhone 8 but, according to the report, it won’t have a curved screen.
Keeping one of millennials’ favorite features — the all-important selfie camera — poses serious challenges for Apple engineers if the iPhone 8’s bezels are as thin as we expect.
In a new mockup based on alleged iPhone 8 schematics that recently leaked, fans can get an early look at how Apple might make the entire front of the iPhone one giant display while also leaving room for light sensors, a speaker and a camera.

The iPhone has never been more popular with teens, according to a new survey that found 76 percent of U.S. teenagers with a smartphone own an Apple.
Investment firm Piper Jaffray’s semiannual teen survey discovered that iPhone ownership among teenagers rose seven points from spring 2016, when 69 percent of U.S. teens owned an iPhone. The news gets even better for Apple — 81 percent of teens surveyed say they plan to buy an iPhone the next time they upgrade.
The 2017 iPhone is expected to be the most futuristic device Apple’s ever made, but concept artist Martin Hajek shows that dipping into the past could be a gorgeous decision.
Taking inspiration from the original iPhone, Hajek’s retro iPhone concept recalls the curvy aluminum back of the first iPhone and gives it fresh look up front, with a huge screen with barely any bezels.

The next iPhone might take some major design cues from the original iPhone, according to the latest rumor out of Asia, which claims the iPhone 8 will have a “water drop design.”
According to a reliable Apple analyst, the company will release three new iPhones this year — including a redesigned iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) and two iterative iPhone 7 updates.
All three models will reportedly boast new Apple wireless charging tech, rather than the feature being limited to a high-end OLED handset.
Upgrading to Apple’s next iPhone won’t come cheap.
The price of the top-of-the-line iPhone is set to increase to more than $1,000, according to a new report that claims the device will pack an OLED display that stretches across the entire front of the phone.
An iPhone 8 mockup based on all the latest rumors looks like quite a hit. The iPhone concept art from designer Imran Taylor builds on rumors that Apple might ditch the iPhone 7’s aluminum frame in favor of a stainless steel band sandwiched by two pieces of curved glass.
Taylor’s detailed renders show how incredible the 10th anniversary iPhone might be, if it brings an all-new look rather than relying on the unibody design of the past few years.

Apple’s next iPhone may come with new facial recognition technology and actual friggin’ laser beams, according to an analyst.
By adding lasers near the front-facing camera, Apple will be able to depth-map objects, according to analysts at Cowen and Company. The camera could also be used for image recognition, enhancing security and fueling augmented reality.
Apple may be planning to make its next iPhone even more waterproof, according to the newest rumor out of Asia.
Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is currently the only smartphone with a device boasting a IP68 rating, but Apple allegedly plans to catch up this year with an iPhone that can can be submerged just as deep.
Next year’s Plus-size iPhone might come with a slightly different dual-lens camera, according to the latest rumors out of Asia.
Citing supply chain sources, the new rumor claims Apple will reposition the secondary telephoto lens on the iPhone so that it sits below the traditional wide-angle lens.
The iPhone 7 has barely been out for two months but the first concept designs of next year’s iPhone are ready to get you hyped for a future without bezels.
Early rumors for the 2017 iPhone have claimed Apple plans to make some major changes. The home button and bezels at the top and bottom could get the boot. And with a curved OLED display, Apple’s next phone may be the most beautiful one ever.

The dual-lens camera on the iPhone 7 Plus is set to get a big stabilization upgrade next year.
While Apple only added optical image stabilization to the wide-angle lens on the camera this year, a new report claims that Apple plans to bring the feature to the telephoto lens in 2017.
The iPhone 8 may not be the only Apple product that gets an OLED upgrade next year.
Apple is reportedly testing new displays for next year’s MacBook Pro and is exploring the use of OLED, which offers lower battery consumption, brighter colors and sharper contrasts.
The next iPhone will get upgraded to an amazing OLED display, according to a Sharp executive who confirmed the long-standing rumor while speaking at Tatung University.
Sharp President Tai Jeng-wu, who is also an executive at Foxconn, told students that if Apple doesn’t switch to OLED iPhone, there won’t be any innovation.
