The Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 13 shields your valuable handset while also giving you an easy way to carry your credit cards and driver’s license. Plus, it looks gorgeous while doing so.

Here’s why I love this case. Despite a notable drawback.

Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 13 review

You bring your iPhone everywhere, and you carry a wallet almost everywhere. It makes sense to combine them. And this Mujjo case helps you do exactly that. Plus it protects your phone while adding some personal style.

It only has room for a couple of cards, but that’s plenty in our nearly cashless society. There’s a place for an Apple Card or something similar, as well as a drivers license.

Design

This leather case looks at home in a board room or a French restaurant. And it’ll keep that professional/elegant look. Leather doesn’t wear out, it wears in.

Over time, this Mujjo case will take on a patina that makes it appear even better. This is the fifth case from this company I’ve used over the years, and none of them looked old on the day I retired them to get a new iPhone model. I expect that to be true of the iPhone 13 version many months from now.

Of course, how much the patina shows depends on the case color. There are three to choose from. Mine is black, and the other options are tan and Monaco blue.

As for the design, Mujjo should have stuck the work “slim” somewhere in its product name, because this case fits the iPhone 13 like a glove. (Better than a glove, really.) It adds hardly anything to the size, and weighs only 1 ounce.

Nevertheless, the case brings a surprising amount of protection. It covers all four corners of the handset, and the edges and buttons, too. Over the years, I’ve dropped various iPhones in Mujjo leather cases any number of times and never had the screen break.

There’s an opening for the camera hump, and the Mujjo leather wallet case doesn’t cover the speakers or the Lightning port. This isn’t a folio case, so the screen is always exposed. That’s not a flaw, but a design choice.

And the case includes a protective, raised ridge around the outside of the iPhone 12 display. Put the handset face down and it doesn’t rest on the screen, but on the case. That really helps reduce scratches.

I tested the version for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 “standard” but Mujjo makes versions of the case for the iPhone 13 mini, Pro, and Pro Max too.

Very useful wallet pouch

The pouch on the back of the Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 13 is a single flap of leather very expertly stitched on. It has space for two cards. For me, that’s a drivers license and an Apple Card.

Leather stretches, so you can fit in another card, or perhaps a couple of bills. But remember that stretched leather won‘t return to its original shape. Don’t put anything temporarily in this pouch.

Wireless charging and MagSafe

Surprisingly, my tests show that an iPhone 13 will wirelessly charge through this leather wireless case, even with a pair of plastic credit cards in the pouch. An exception is the aluminum Apple Card. That blocks wireless charging on its own.

But that’s not true for the magnets that are part of Apple’s MagSafe system. A MagSafe charger cannot magnetically cling to an iPhone in Mujjo’s leather case.

Mujjo makes top-quality products, and the Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 13 is a prime example. It looks great, adds little to the bulk of the handset, and saves the hassle of carrying a separate wallet.

Plus, the price is something of a surprise for such a well-made case.

Pricing

Mujjo’s iPhone 13 wallet case is available now in the Cult of Mac Store in all three color variants and each of the four sizes. It costs $49.90.

The store has versions of Mujjo leather cases for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 series as well.

Comparable products

A somewhat radical alternative to a wallet case is the Moft Snap-on Stand & Wallet for iPhone. Rather than being a full case, it’s a pouch for holding cards that also does double duty as a fold-out stand. It’s compatible with iPhone 12 or iPhone 13. Don’t miss my review.

Or there’s the Apple Leather Wallet with MagSafe. This a simpler pouch that magnetically clings to iPhone. It sells for $59.
