It’s a big day for Apple fans as the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with 5G have gone on sale, alongside the iPad Air 4 — marking a trio of devices with the new, breakthrough A14 chip.
As preorders arrive and Apple Stores open with the new handsets and tablet, Apple shared some images of satisfied customers, along with fulfillment workers gearing up to dispatch the new iPhones and iPads to stores.
This year’s iPhone 12 and 12 Pro feature a slew of upgrades. These include a redesign with square edges, tougher displays, OLED screens on all models, improved cameras, 5nm A14 chips, MagSafe connector, and 5G. Meanwhile, the iPad Air 4 includes an iPad Pro-style redesign with larger display and A14 chip. To account for the lack of Home button, the Touch ID sensor has been moved to the power button.

This isn’t the only new Apple devices we’re expecting in time for the holidays. The iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max will be available to pre-order from November 6, with shipping on November 13. There is also the HomePod mini available for preorder on November 6, with shipping starting the week of November 16. Plus, whatever Apple chooses to announce at its rumored November event, of course. (Spoiler: It’s most likely to be Macs and, perhaps finally, Apple’s location-tracking AirTags.)
