In my lengthy travels among computer setups displayed on social media, I saw a cool Mac mini case a while back that made the compact M4/M4 Pro desktop computer look like a little Mac Pro. I wondered if it’d catch on as a cool, must-have accessory, but then I never saw it again — until now. Redditor erure showed off the M4 Mac mini dressed up as a small-but-mighty Mac Pro in a post entitled, “My first dual monitor setup!” His disguised Mac mini drives a pair of 27-inch Dell U2725QE 4K monitors flanked by Bose Companion 20 speakers. He chose the Dells for their high refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth visuals and their daisy-chaining capability via Thunderbolt 4 on his Mac mini. His input devices aren’t the usual fare — an ergonomic Logitech M575 trackball mouse and a swanky, $500 M011Y mechanical keyboard.
When a commenter asked what “enclosure” he had on the Mac mini, Erure replied, “It doesn’t really provide any function, just makes it look like a mini Mac Pro haha. I got it from Amazon.” It’s a Tiga Aluminum Chassis Stand for M4 Mac mini that features a handle, so it doubles as a carrying case.
