iOS 13 introduced a new love/hate feature: Memoji stickers. Now, whenever you open the emoji keyboard on your iPhone or iPad, these stickers take up the leftmost space. That alone would be fine. However, the stickers also replace the panel showing your recently used emoji (or at least shifted that panel right).
If you don’t like the current state of affairs, don’t fret. You can quickly remove those pesky Memoji stickers from your keyboard.
Tim Cook’s street food tour of East Asia continues. Earlier this week, Cook enjoyed a traditional breakfast in Singapore’s Tiong Bahru Market. Now he’s hopped over to Thailand, where he chowed down on some “five star” crab omelette in Bangkok with food bloggers Yota and Jira.
Oh, and visited some developers and Apple users, too. But, you know, that crab omelette!

Former First Lady Michelle Obama and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres teamed up with Apple to give away Macs and iPads to students at Randle Highlands Elementary School in Washington, D.C.
The gift-giving marked the premiere of Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways on NBC. Apple’s donation means that every teacher at the school will receive a MacBook Air and every student will get an iPad. The school itself will get new iMacs. DeGeneres is also donating $100,000 and equipping the school with a new basketball court.

Elon Musk borrowed Steve Jobs’ trademark “One more thing” announcement at the end of Thursday’s unveiling of its electric pickup, the Cybertruck.
Gearing to leave the stage after showing off the futuristic vehicle, Musk stopped for one last announcement. “Oh by the way, we made an ATV,” he said, before it was driven onto the stage.
Guilherme Rambo, one of the top Apple secret-spillers, says Apple locked him out of his developer account, preventing him from accessing critical tools needed to create and update iOS and Mac apps.
In a blog post detailing his problem, Rambo revealed that Apple locked him out in August. Since then, all his attempts to resolve the issue met a dead end, he says. Rambo’s post doesn’t mention that he digs through Apple beta software looking for clues about unreleased Apple products — and publishes his findings on 9to5Mac. That might be the precise reason why he’s locked out.
Windows users might not have to use iTunes much longer. Mac users were freed from this often-criticized multimedia software by macOS Catalina, but it lives on computers running Microsoft’s operating system.
However, Apple seems to be staffing up to create a replacement for Windows too.
Apple is almost done with its quest to revamp Apple Maps across the United States. In its latest update, Apple rolled out its revamped Apple Maps app in the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Midwest.
Locations covered by the update include Washington, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and more.

Apple is reportedly partnering with Valve, the company behind Steam, to develop its first augmented reality headset. Valve already offers a virtual reality headset of its own for gaming. But its work with Apple is said to be focused on AR, which Cupertino thinks will play an increasingly important role in the future.
