The Satechi OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger lives up to its name. It’s sleek and very portable, but can pump out enough power to juice up a MacBook. It makes anything from Apple seem bulky, slow and limited.
I tested out its capabilities for this hands-on review.
Satechi OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger review
A slim, portable charger is the perfect solution for anyone who values convenience and mobility. Unlike bulky power bricks or constantly hunting for outlets, a sleek, lightweight charger slips easily into your bag or even a jacket pocket — ready to keep your laptop, tablet or phone powered wherever you are.
And this new one from Satechi offers two USB-C ports, so it can handle your iPhone and iPad at once. That’s a trick beyond virtually all Apple chargers.
Whether you’re traveling for work or vacation, the Satechi 67W USB C charger fits easily into any bag or pocket due to its compact size. It features two USB-C power delivery ports, and is compatible with laptops, tablets, smartphones, AirPods, Chromebooks, and other USB-C accessories.

Wonderfully slim charger

The Satechi OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger is small enough to fit in a pocket. It measures only 3.1 inches by 2 inches by 0.7 inches, and weighs 0.2 pounds.
Even better, all the corners and edges are rounded to make the accessory feel even smaller. It also makes the charger less likely to scratch up your other gear when riding around in a bag. Of course, the power pongs fold down for portability.
For the style-conscious, it comes in black, desert rose and sand.
Despite the svelte dimensions, the charger includes two USB-C ports.
There’s only one Apple charger close to this small with two ports, and it tops out at 35W — about half as much as Satechi’s. Apple chargers capable of putting out more wattage are relatively gargantuan. Its 70W model is literally 5X larger than the Satechi charger.
Powerful charger that won’t overheat

The maximum output from the Satechi OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger is — you guessed it — 67 watts. I put this to the test, of course, by having it power up various devices through a USB-C multimeter.
It sent 66W to the HyperJuice 245W USB-C Battery Pack I used during testing for this review. That’s close enough to full power for me. It sent more than 50W to my new M5 iPad Pro, the tablet’s max.
But there’s an important caveat: After charging at 66W for about 10 minutes, the accessory started to warm up, and charging dropped to 43W to prevent overheating. So you can think of this as a 43W charger with 66W peak charging. If you don’t like the slowdown, consider the Rolling Square Supertiny — it doesn’t slow down even when it gets very hot. Read my review of that rival product for more details.
The two USB-C ports must split the power output between them. Plug in two devices and one port tops out at 45W, while the other gets up to 20W. In my test for this review, the actual breakdown is 43W and 17W, but that’s close enough. This dual-port setup is fine to charge a MacBook and an iPhone overnight.

Don’t plug your precious Apple devices into cheap chargers made by sketchy companies. Satechi is a name you can trust — its products are top-notch. And this charger lives up to Satechi’s reputation. It’s small but powerful — just right for your MacBook, iPad or iPhone.
The svelte design makes it very portable, but also produces problems when it comes to shedding heat. Still, I prefer a charger that slows down to prevent overheating rather than taking a risk on one that doesn’t.
