With the ever-growing number of devices on my desk, a charging station has become a non-negotiable accessory. Instead of juggling multiple chargers, cables and adapters, a charging station can keep everything organized.

That’s where Acefast’s 6-in-1 80W foldable GaN charging station shines. Despite its compact size, it can charge up to six devices simultaneously, all while reducing the clutter and chaos on my desk.

Acefast 80W 6-in-1 GaN charging station review

There’s no shortage of desktop charging stations on the market. The problem with most of them is their size. They’re bulky, and their design makes them look out of place next to my clean, well-organized primary desk.

The Acefast 80W foldable 6-in-1 charging station bucks this trend with a compact, vertical design that looks more like a mini charging tower than a bulky desk clock. More importantly, it includes dedicated wireless charging slots for both AirPods and Apple Watch. That’s something you rarely see in this form factor.

With its tower–like design, the Acefast 80W charging station takes up far less space than a typical desktop charging station. This space-saving design is one of the biggest advantages of Acefast’s offering.

The design is neatly thought out as well. At the top sits an adjustable 15W magnetic wireless charging pad that tilts up to 65 degrees. Lift it up, and you’ll find a secondary 5W charging pad underneath. Its 5W output makes it ideal for AirPods, earbuds or other smaller accessories.

The adjustable angle of the wireless charging pad lets me keep my phone tilted on the desk, making it easy to glance at incoming calls and notifications.

On the left, the charging station houses a retractable USB-C cable, with a max power output of 60W. Below it, Acefast’s designers placed USB-A and USB-C ports (one each). The right side hides a built-in Apple Watch charger. Press it once, and it will slide out. Then pull it forward to place your Apple Watch for charging.

In total, the Acefast 6-in-1 charger can juice up three devices via wired connections and three wirelessly. A small LED at the front glows when you switch it on.

Antislip rubber feet on the bottom keep the Acefast charging station firmly in place, ensuring it won’t easily fall from your desk. It’s constructed of plastic, but the charging station sports a metal-like finish.

One thing that stood out immediately was its weight. I didn’t expect it to feel so hefty when I first picked it up. That added weight, paired with the metal-like exterior, makes the Acefast offering feel far more premium than its plastic build suggests.

Overall, Acefast’s compact, vertical design helps it stand out in a category crowded with oversized, desk-hogging charging stations. But this compact design comes with a big compromise.

Power output

The Acefast charging station only supports 80W max power output. That’s considerably less than other charging stations, which often push more than 20oW of power simultaneously.

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Acefast’s compact design. It can provide a maximum of 65W through the USB-C port on the right. The retractable USB-C cable on the same side tops out at 60W.

This means the Acefast charging station cannot fast charge any MacBook Pro or newer MacBook Air models. It can fill their battery at a decent pace, but if you are in a hurry, you’d better not rely on this charging station. It can, thankfully, fast charge all iPhones and iPads over a wired connection.

When used on its own, the sole USB-A port can top up devices at 18W speeds.

Even the wireless charging output might feel limited. The Acefast 6-in-1 charger lacks Qi2.2 support, so the phone’s magnetic charging pad at the top maxes out at 15W. This works fine for older phones, but newer iPhones support 25W wireless charging.

Worse, though, the Apple Watch charging slot maxes out at 2.5W. That means it cannot fast charge newer Apple Watch models. In daily use, this means noticeably longer charging times, which is not something you’ll want for a device you typically always wear on your wrist.

Below is Acefast’s power-sharing breakdown for when you use multiple ports of the charging station:

  • USB-C cable + USB-C port: 45W + 20W
  • USB-C cable + USB-A port: 45W + 18W
  • USB-C port + USB-A port: 5V ⎓ 3A shared (15W total)
  • USB-C cable + USB-C port + USB-A port: 45W + (USB-C + USB-A share 15W)

Wireless charging tops out at 15W for the phone, 5W for the earbuds and 2.5W for the Apple Watch. Thankfully, the power output remains unchanged even when charging all three devices at once.

Based on the power distribution, you can fast-charge an iPhone while topping up other devices and smaller accessories, such as earbuds or a smartwatch, at a slower pace.

However, when you plug in an iPad or a MacBook to the USB-C port, it will draw most of the available power. That means less power for your iPhone or other devices.

The retractable USB-C cable and the USB-C port both support PPS, so both can fast charge an iPhone 17 Pro at 40W speeds.

Ideally, the Acefast charging station would offer a total output closer to 200W. That would have allowed it to fast-charge a MacBook Pro alongside an iPhone and other smaller devices without compromises.

At just 80W, the station’s limited power output significantly restricts its usefulness. As a result, I use it on my primary desk only for charging my phone, Apple Watch and smaller accessories. For more demanding needs, including charging my MacBook Pro and a 25,000mAh power bank, I use Acefast’s 218W charging station. (Read my review of that charger: Acefast 218W power station makes a stylish addition to your desk.)

One benefit of the 80W charging station’s heft is that it remains rock-solid even when all six charging slots are in use, including when wireless charging devices as big and heavy as the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Admittedly, the compact footprint and clean design make the Acefast 80W GaN 6-in-1 charging station look better on my desk than most bulky, multidevice chargers. It noticeably reduces cable clutter and gives me a single, fixed spot to charge my phone, Apple Watch, earbuds and even my iPad Pro. In that sense, the Acefast feels more practical than many 3-in-1 chargers I’ve used on my bedside table, which cannot charge so many accessories simultaneously.

The compact design also makes it a surprisingly compelling travel companion. For long trips, I can toss it into my bag and replace multiple wall chargers and cables with a single, organized charging hub — as long as I don’t have to fast charge my MacBook Pro.

Price

The Acefast 80W 6-in-1 charging station lists for $69.99, but often sees discounts that drop it to $59.99 or less.

At that price, it offers solid value for a compact, well-designed charging station that can neatly power multiple everyday devices without cluttering your desk. Just don’t think of it as a replacement for fast charging many of your heavy-duty devices.
