The WWDC 2017 Platforms State of the Union, during which Apple laid out what’s new for developers, brimmed with updates. The session at Apple’s annual developer conference focused on fundamentals of and refinements to iOS 11, Swift and Xcode, delivering vital details for coders.

Relive the session’s highlights with these sketchnotes, which should give Apple developers and Apple users alike much to be excited about.

Swift Playgrounds 2, iOS 11 and Xcode 9

Swift Playgrounds is an amazing tool for teaching kids of all ages how to program. In the new version of Playgrounds, kids can interact with robots, drones and other devices via Bluetooth.

Apple says iOS 11 is the biggest iPad release ever. It turns the tablet into a serious productivity tool thanks to a new Dock, file-management tools, better multitasking and a nifty drag-and-drop feature.

The improved source code editor in Xcode 9 empowers developers to create amazing apps.

This was pretty cool, but seem to miss a lot of the introductions that were made during the event.

Thanks. I try to capture key ideas and concepts when sketchnoting. It is pretty tough to capture every word and idea, while also drawing in realtime, otherwise you lose track of what the speaker is saying. The WWDC session videos are excellent, if you would like to get more detail.
