We’re bound to see some innovative new Apple Watch charging docks at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show, and kicking things off is accessory maker Actionproof’s cute “Bozon” Apple Watch charging dock.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks like a little Pixar cartoon alien?
The striking charging dock — which, to me at least, harks back to the more playful, cartoony look and feel of a first-gen iMac — can be used to charge both horizontally and vertically. It also features a neat design touch, with a 2 meter charging cable that extends from the dock to fit your personal requirements for cord management.
The sturdy Bozon dock is available to order today on Actionproof’s website, where it’ll set you back $39.99.
While it’s definitely a neat design, however, it may be worth waiting a couple more days before ordering, just so that you can check out any other interesting third-party docks which come out of CES.
Oh yes, and it’s recommended that Apple Watch owners with Link Bracelets steer clear of this particular dock, since the extra weight of the stainless steel band is a bit too much for it.
