Apple TV continued its awards season momentum at the 78th Annual Directors Guild Awards Sunday night, taking home wins for breakout comedy series The Studio, acclaimed documentary series Mr. Scorsese and commercial “I’m Not Remarkable.”
The Studio and Mr. Scorsese win Directors Guild Awards
Apple TV’s no stranger to awards, having recently won a raft of Emmys and more. Now directors of The Studio, Mr. Scorsese and the “I’m Not Remarkable” commercial — also honored as number seven in Cult of Mac‘s top 10 Apple ads of 2025 — take home big wins, Apple noted in a press release.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg earned the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series award for their work on The Studio episode “The Oner.” The show has become a cultural phenomenon since its debut, recently making history as the most Emmy-winning freshman comedy ever with 13 wins. Rebecca Miller received Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary Series for Mr. Scorsese episode “All This Filming Isn’t Healthy.” The intimate documentary portrait of legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese has garnered critical acclaim throughout the awards circuit.
Apple also secured a win in the commercials category, with Kim Gehrig taking home Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials for “I’m Not Remarkable.”

The Studio, which stars Seth Rogen as Matt Remick, the embattled head of Continental Studios, has swept major awards ceremonies this season. Beyond its historic Emmy haul, the series won Golden Globe Awards for Best Comedy and Best Actor, Critics Choice Awards in multiple categories, and joins an elite group of shows to capture the trifecta of Golden Globe, Emmy and Critics Choice Awards for Best Comedy.
The show has also earned an American Film Institute Award for TV Program of the Year and received nominations from the Screen Actors Guild, Producers Guild and numerous craft guilds.
