Years after dropping support for the Apple Watch, Telegram is back with a native watchOS app. The revived app offers a richer experience, letting you send messages, reply to chats, and more directly from your wrist.
It packs nearly all the essentials you’d expect from Telegram without having to reach for your iPhone.
Telegram becomes more accessible on the Apple Watch
Telegram was among the first messaging apps to launch a watchOS app when the platform debuted in 2015. However, the company eventually removed the app, likely due to low adoption and other issues.
Now, Telegram is again offering a native watchOS app. To get started, install the app on your Apple Watch and scan the QR code it displays to link it with Telegram on your iPhone.
Once paired, the app works independently of your iPhone, provided your Apple Watch has an internet connection over Wi-Fi or cellular.
After the initial setup, you can access your existing Telegram chats and send messages to contacts. You can also view entire conversations right from your wrist, with the app supporting GIFs, video notes, location sharing, stickers and more.

Do more on Telegram from your Apple Watch
Without a native app, you could only view notifications and reply to Telegram messages from your Apple Watch. The new app makes Telegram far more capable on your wrist.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov revealed the new watchOS app on X. Strangely, Telegram’s App Store release notes don’t mention the Apple Watch app at all.
The return of a dedicated watchOS app finally gives Telegram users an experience that feels much closer to Apple’s own Messages app. If you rely on Telegram throughout the day, you’ll now be able to stay connected without constantly reaching for your iPhone
