In 2003, Steve announced the iTunes Music Store — a place where we could purchase music for our iPods, which is now the world’s largest music store. In 2010, the iTunes Music Store celebrated its 10th billion download.

As much as we love our iPods, they don’t make phone calls, and so Apple gave us the iPhone in 2007. Now on its fourth-generation, with a fifth expected later this year, Apple has sold over 100 million iPhones worldwide.

To accompany the iPhone 3G in 2008, Apple launched the App Store — a place where we could download third-party applications. The App Store has been so successful that it is now home to over 500,000 apps.

Apple’s most recent revolution is the iPad. Now on its second generation, the device has spawned countless clones from other manufacturers, but none can compete with Apple’s device. 15 million iPads had been sold by March, 2011, with around 82% of the market share in the U.S.

So that’s just a quick glimpse at some of the awesome products Apple has created while Steve Jobs was at the company. Here’s to plenty more while he’s enjoying retirement.
