Apple’s online store has returned, which means iPhone X is finally available to pre-order.
Prices start at $999 for a 64GB model, though you can get it cheaper by taking advantage of early carrier discounts. The device is also more affordable on the iPhone Upgrade Program, which lets you spread out the hefty upfront fee.
If you’re hoping to secure an iPhone X for launch day delivery on November 3, you’re going to need to act fast. Rumor has it that Apple has just 2-3 million units available, and they’re going to sell out in seconds.
iPhone X is Apple’s most-anticipated smartphone since the original iPhone. It delivers the major redesign we’ve been waiting for, along with an edge-to-edge Super Retina HD display, advanced facial recognition, wireless charging, and more.
It’s not cheap, but plenty of Apple fans are prepared to ready to break the bank to bag one. If you’re going to be one of them, don’t delay your pre-order. Being just a couple of minutes later than everyone else could mean you have to wait weeks, even months, for yours to ship.
Go place your pre-order now!
Recent reports have claimed Apple will manufacture just half the number of iPhone X units it originally planned to produce in 2017. That’s thanks to production issues surrounding Face ID components, which are severely stumping early supplies.
iPhone X starts at $999 with 64GB of storage, with a 256GB option available for $1,149. Both models are available in silver or black.
It’s best to order yours directly from Apple if you can, but if initial stock sells out before you get your order in, you might have more luck buying from a carrier or authorized reseller. We’ll get a better picture of just how difficult the device will be to obtain over the next hour or so.
Good luck!

bullshit post, the store still closed at 12:04 AM
Just ordered from the Verizon website. Ship date was 11/3.
did the same thing. that ship date accurate?
It’s accurate. New orders are now slipping to later in November.
12:08 and the store is still closed. You’re losing your few remaining credibility points with timed auto-posts like this CultOfMac…
I suppose we were the only Apple blog to publish a post like this when Apple promised pre-orders would go live at 12:01 a.m.
Oh wait…
That’s cool. As long as others are doing it.

did the same thing. is that delivery date reliable though?
I think so. I originally picked Space Gray and it said November 10th. Then I changed it to Silver and it worked. Got an email confirmation this morning.
Have four computers going, cannot get into either ATT or Apple. Press enter on the second.
Got it! But 2 weeks :( Store was delayed. My ATT browser still says 9 minute wait. Web browser was faster than app BTW…for me…thanks for the tips!

Got one via the app.
They made me jump through a few hoops however. Reload, unavailable, re-enter etc.
Same here, used the app, got kicked out of the payment screen twice, still managed to get my order in within 3 minutes.
