With the launch of Apple’s most expensive iPhone ever right around the corner, Apple fans are bracing their wallets for impact.

Even the most basic iPhone X will cost you at least $999, but thanks to a bevy of carrier and trade-in deals, you can come away with the 256GB model without spending over a grand.

Best iPhone X deals

As usual, carriers will offer various deals on the upcoming iPhone X. Here are the best deals to watch for.

$500 off with Xfinity Triple Play

The best deal available (so far) is Xfinity’s offer, which gives customers a $500 gift card with an iPhone X purchase, no trade-in required.

Until December 3, new customers who switch to Xfinity and subscribe to a Triple Play plan — which combines internet, TV and mobile — will receive a $500 gift card. That’s essentially half off the 64GB iPhone X.

The carrier, which launched earlier this year, piggybacks off Verizon’s wireless network. Xfinity says it will have iPhone X units available to preorder October 27.

$350 off at Sprint

Sprint has one of the best trade-in offers, giving customers $350 off the iPhone X when they trade in a qualifying smartphone. This means you’ll pay just $22.22 a month for the first 18 months, then $41.62 for the last six months, when you opt for a 64GB device on Sprint Flex.

This reduces the total cost of an iPhone X to $649.68.

You will also get the option to avoid that larger fee in the final six months by upgrading your device. This is essentially the same deal Sprint offers on the iPhone 8, and it’s available to new and existing subscribers.

iPhones eligbible for the trade-in discount include:

  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 6 Plus

Up to $300 off on Verizon

Verizon is offering customers $300 off on the price of an iPhone X if you sign up for a Verizon unlimited plan and trade in your old device. The promotion is available through the My Verizon iOS app, online or at retail stores.

Buying the iPhone X will cost you $41.66 per month on Verizon’s payment plans. The $300 discount is paid out over 24 months, so you’ll need to keep the iPhone X that entire time.

Here’s how much money you’ll get from your old iPhone:

$300 off: iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 7 or 7 Plus.
$200 off: iPhone 6 or 6 Plus
$100 off: iPhone 5, 5c or 5S.

T-Mobile gives $300 off

T-Mobile’s trade-in deal is a lot like Verizon’s. Bring in a qualifying iPhone, and you get up to $300 taken off your monthly bill over the next 24 months. Customers can trade in to buy either an iPhone X or an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus.

Customers can trade-in their iPhone X when 50 percent is paid off. After that, T-Mobile will wipe out remaining payments so consumers can upgrade to whatever the next iPhone is.

Here’s the iPhone X pricing at the Un-carrier:

Equipment Installment Plan:
64GB: $279.99 down, $30 a month (FRP: $999.99)
256GB: $429.99 down, $30 a month (FRP: $1,149.99)

JUMP! On Demand:
64GB: $0 down, $41.56 a month ($999.99)
256GB: $429.99 down, $24 a month ($1,149.99)

AT&T?

Even though iPhone X preorders are just days away, AT&T still hasn’t announced any trade-in deals. Last year, the company offered up to $650 in monthly credits for qualifying trade-ins for the iPhone 7. We’ll update you if a similar deal comes out in the next few days.
