Wrap the brand-new GameSir X5s around your iPhone to play high-end games. But that’s only the start — the controller also works with iPad, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.

It’s lightweight with a portable design but includes Hall Effect sticks and triggers, a gyroscope and rumble motors.

Even better, the GameSir X5s costs under $50.

GameSir X5s Wireless Mobile Game Controller offers tri-mode connectivity

Many console-quality games are also playable on iPhone. That includes Fortnite, but also Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, multiple entries from the Resident Evil series, and many more. But playing AAA titles on a touchscreen can be frustrating. A game controller can help.

The GameSir X5s Wireless Mobile Game Controller offers the standard array of buttons, sticks and triggers in the layout that gamers are familiar with for standard controllers. The difference is that this one wraps around an iPhone (or Android), putting the screen in the middle.

The accessory connects via Bluetooth, so it can be used with either Lightning or USB-C iPhones. And that’s only the start, as it also connects to iPad, Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Beyond Bluetooth, the device offers USB-C and 2.4GHz support so PC gamers can use wired or wireless dongle connectivity (dongle sold separately).

Hall Effect sticks and triggers

A highlight of the GameSir X5s is Hall Effect sticks. These use magnetic sensors, so they last for many years. And the controller includes Hall Effect analog triggers.

Other gaming features include a 6-axis gyroscope and dual HD linear rumble motors in the grips. Swappable ABXY buttons let players go between Xbox and Switch layouts.

GameSir X5s now available and affordable
