Although the iPhone 4S just went on sale this past Friday the first wave of iPhone 4S shipments from China have started with a delivery date of October 14th. The carrier in my case is UPS.
I received my shipping notification this morning and other reports are cropping up about customers receiving their shipping notices from Carriers like Sprint and AT&T. I haven’t heard if Verizon models have shipped yet from either Apple or any of the carriers.

Just received mine this morning as well. Glad to see my super early morning ordering pay off. Can’t wait to get it, I’ve still got the 3GS so this will be a pleasant upgrade for me :).
I woke early and ordered as soon as apples website was available but I still have not received my email. :-(
I got the same notification this morning. Fun to track the route.
I haven’t received my notification yet. I ordered it with a reservation code because the AT&T site couldn’t process the information at 3AM, so I finally paid for it at 5AM Friday. Still waiting.
Mine is coming too. I have th 3G, and everyday I curse that phone so Ill just be happy with the speed bump.

Ordered at 7 a.m. (Phoenix time) on 10/07. Apple is telling me mine is “preparing for shipping.” Now, let’s see if they slip in a $100 bill, two years in a row! BOOM!

Still waiting to receive my email. After I received the “reserved” page I finished my order around 9 am est. on friday. I’m still using the 3G and can’t wait for this upgrade. I won’t panic until midday tomorrow if I still haven’t received the shipping notification email.
Ordered on Verizon site around 8:30 am on Friday. Over weekend when I checked on order it said it would ship for delivery on October 14th. This morning is says, “will ship on October 14th”. Hope this is not right!
Of those have received notice of shipment did you order Black or White. Co-Worker ordered a 1 Black Model and 1 White model. The Black has shipped, but not the White one.

At least Apple doesn’t use Purolator here, as they will just drive by your house, wave the package if they see you, then you have to go to their warehouse on the other side of the city to actually get the package.
My 32GB White model has not shipped as of yet. I don’t doubt that it will, but it would be cool if it arrived early.

i pre-ordered thru verizon website.. 10:49 email confirmation Friday EST.. for 1 black and 1 white 16GB.. still no update to ship date and still says the 14th
Verizon doesn’t show anything for my order status at all. I placed the order about 2pm EST on Friday over the phone since their online site wasn’t working for me. I called and the guy told me it’s supposed to arrive on Friday so we shall see.

I received my Sprint Tracking number a couple hrs. ago. Tracking number not recognized (yet) at UPS tracking site. Maybe tomorrow?

I ordered a black 32 GB phone around 2:30am Pacific Time on Oct 7. It has shipped from China to Hong Kong to Alaska. Left Alaska and not sure where it will go next…hopefully Dallas since I live 15 minutes from DFW airport!

I ordered 2 4s’s – one for my wife (white 16GB) and one for myself (black 32GB). Im the tech geek and my wife just wants a new phone. Ironically, her phone shipped on the 10th and is now in KY (im assuming it will get here thursday). Mine on the other hand… STILL HASN’T SHIPPED. I am happy for her, but I WANT MY NEW 4S! Not gonna be happy if i have to wait till next week to get it! I guess before i go postal, i will have to wait and see…

I have two in KY!!! Hoping they get here early! My 4 arrived a day early last time. I have company coming Friday so it will be nice to have some play time with my new gadget before Fri. Do you think UPS will hold up delivery? You would think having some land Wed or Thurs might lighten the Friday load for them. Don’t really see the point for having them hold them. BTW, my 2rd phone has not shipped from ATT, only my 2 ordered from apple at 3:45 am ET on launch day.

$5 says that the ones who ordered early enough will get the phones that have already been shipped stateside for the launch. The ones that are shipping from China are for the people that couldn’t get in early enough. Much quicker to ship within the US.
Pretty sure this is the case because they knew they were gonna see a high demand with all the iPhones that have been selling on eBay, etc & the wouldn’t want to turn anyone away before getting record presale numbers in. I ordered way early too but my page still says processing. They will get it to me by Friday as promised.
I ordered 32gb white (att) october 7, around 5 pm at apple. Got confirmation around 9 pm the same day. Got shipping notification yesterday- must have been a lucky break! And my new little friend has been flying in from china via hong kong and alaska. Landed at Louiseville, KY in the wee hours today. Now, would they deliver it earlier or stick to the friday delivery date? It cant take 3 days from KY to NJ after it took only about 16 hours from Shenzen, China to louiseville! Can’t wait.
Im in stanhope, nj so mine also is in ky. Im thinking we will get them early. Even if they were to hold it a day in ky we would get it by thurs. And i don’t think they will randomly just hold it because spple shipped them too early just look at how people got thier iphone 4’s early last year and people in germany are already getting thiers.
Even if you status says “Preparing for Shipment” it is already on the way. You can still track it at the UPS website using Track by Reference. Just use your phone number as “Shipment Reference” and enter your zip code. Do no enter Shipper Account.
Me either, and my order was in within minutes of Apple’s website going live. Oh well, it’ll get here when it gets here. Can’t wait for Siri, so I have someone to talk to. ;0)

Ordered mine at 8:00 A.M. EST on Fri 10/7. Just got my notification today. Looks like mine is still in China. Seems reasonable that I would get it Friday. I would suspect that the folks who’s phones are already here in the States, may get theirs early. Wooooo Whoooooo.
I ordered mine right at 2:45 cst when the store first opened and mine say preparing for shipment. I think you are correct the early orders will ship later as they are already in the us.

plus you have to factor in the time and date change in china theyre ahead of us by a day 12hours

I did Friday morning online – my confirmation email says delivery date the 14th… but no tracking # has been sent… and the track your order link in the email just says that my ‘order has been received and is in process’… guessing all is good and I should get it this Friday… but wondering if others ordering through Verizon are getting the same info

Well, it worked for me an many others. No worries, if your status says to be delivered Friday, you have no cause to.
And I just got Apple’s shipment notification 5 minutes ago but my package is already in Alaska.
Yes, all of them come from China because that is where they are assembled but my point was that they already have stock in the US for the launch & they probably split the pie between the Apple Store, the carriers, stores like Best Buy & the preorder crowd.
I am saying all this because I hope to have my new 64gb white iPhone 4S on launch day (desperately wanted a white one on iP4 launch day). I sacrificed my opportunity to stand in line for 10+ hours with other fanboys/girls, making friends & battling on our iPads. I did this last year & it was a blast.
I “reserved” one to buy online around 1am PST on 10/7/11 & went to sleep. Got an email in the middle of the night that my iPhone was ready to buy, I followed the link from my email & bought it around 7am PST without the same god-awful traffic I experienced at launch time.
Crossing my fingers as I have not gotten any change in my order status as of 7pm this evening.

P-Russ i ordered thru verizon website and got the confirmation email at 1030am on the 7th.. all my stuff and websites say the same information.. and I ordered to 16GB… 1 white and 1 black.. I better get them by the 14th as they promised or I am going to very upset.. thats the whole point of preorder and thats what they said was that it would arrive on the 14th…..
Mine is the same. I got an email stating it would be shipped to deliver on friday but so far there is no tracking number. I ordered at 10am on friday the 7th over the phone.
I received a notification from my carrier AT&T this evening around 9pm EST stating that my order from Oct. 7 (5:30am) is “still scheduled to be delivered as early as October 14, 2011.” Apparently I am supposed to receive an email with the tracking information in the near future. I wasn’t expecting the email. I ordered a black 32g through the AT&T site. Intersting thing I discovered is that my order number on my AT&T account doesn’t match the order number on my email notifications. For some reason the email confirmation came through the AT&T Premier Business system, and my login for my account is Personal…not Business. As an added bonus, I ordered the same device in the same manner fir my spouse in a separate transaction…one behind the other…and that order is moving through the system in the same manner. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Friday delivery.
1:00am October 12, Just received shipping confirmation for a black 64gb ATT. Shows delivery BY October 14. I ordered around 9:30am EST on October 7.
My order went through at 412am (NYC time) via the att site. It went through rite away and I never had to go through the process of coming back for a reserve time like other people have described. I then went to bed and didn’t get the actual email order confirmation until 546am. Until about yesterday around 9pm when I checked the order status via att site all it said was processing, it now says order shipped via fedex but the kicker is it said the phone was shipped on the 9th but when go to track the package on fedex the info doesn’t come up yet. And I never received the official shipping confirmation email from att yet either. I’m not worried I know I will be getting my phone by the 14th if not earlier lol that would be nice.. But the point is this whole process is so confusing…all i can say is good luck to everyone that is going to be waiting on line at launch, I usually do that myself and have always enjoyed it but this time something told me to preorder :)

true you will receive it otherwise you would have an email with the date pushed back…dont forget all the iphones are in china and it takes a day for it to hit the states; however dont forget they sold over 1 million phones im sure there is a lot of chaos in the warehouse

no all preorders are coming from china …. it takes one day to get here in the states they have deals with fedex and ups they dont have to go through customs cause they go through as one big freight

i know how u feel meg cause up utnil last night i wasnt able to track my package until i tried what glessor explained and found my shipment and i woke up the am and they finally sent me a verfication of shopping with the tracking number however i was able to track it since last night……if it says delivery on the 14 you have no problem at all

i ordered through the vzw at 2:50AM ET and the tracking number today shows it was picked up from the apple warehouse by fedex this morning and is now enroute to the fedex shipping facility which is 90 minutes away from the apple warehouse. Still says delivery on the 14th, so maybe Apple is having them hold it at their facility for a day since I only live 10minutes from the fedex warehouse

I had an email this morning from Verizon saying that my iPhone has shipped…. Provided ups tracking number but when I click on the ups link, I received a message that no information is available yet. I’m just glad it’s on it’s way!

Versaceboy54 I have the same situation. Ordered 2 iPhones with no problem through AT&T (Premier) site, one at 8:30 & one at 9:30 AM (EST). I immediately received both confirmations that I will ‘receive’ on October 14th. Since then I have been watching, like a hawk the order status site they sent me in the email, as well as, the ‘My Orders’ tab directly on AT&T website. Both have been processing since Friday. Then around 1pm today I received one email, not two, from Premier telling me that my order is still scheduled to ship on time. I decided to check the order status site again for BOTH and Voila, they showed shipped, even gave me a tracking number. Of-course I immediately tracked them and no information was available yet so I called Fedex. The gentlemen said the tracking numbers were more than likely pre-purchased labels used by the shipper and that the package was not yet in their possession. I advised that the shipping date was 10/10 (which was weird when I didn’t receive the confirmation until today), still he said “Ma’am, we don’t have it, the package hasn’t left the shipper yet”. I work for wholesale company and we’ve done this before so I knew what he was talking about. Tracking numbers were assigned but Apple probably won’t release to Fed Ex until tomorrow. In any event around 7pm EST I finally received the shipping confirmation email(s) for both phones from Premier and although there is still “no information” on Fed Ex website I am confident I should receive Friday and so will the rest of you.. I was able to order earlier than almost everybody I see getting their tracking numbers from China.
I even tried the “Track by Reference” trick on UPS but still nothing. My delivery date is still 10/14 so either they are lying to me or there are a bunch of launch phones already in the country for the presale people, like I suspected. I doubt the phone could be shipped to my door from china in 40ish hours.
Because I am obsessing about this, I called 1-800-MY-APPLE to ask about details of my order. There wasn’t much the lady could tell me but she did confirm that the phone was shipping from the US. That is huge. So that means I should be getting a shipping update within the next 24 hours.
Just got my shipping notification from Apple and I was blown away to see it was shipping from China. I am wowwwwwed by the Global nature of this. Far cry from the pony express!
It’s Wednesday evening and I noticed that the status of my orders changed to “Shipped” with a tracking number that doesn’t work on the UPS tracking site. What’s interesting is that the ship date populated to yesterday’s date 10/11/11, when just yesterday it showed “Processing.”
I never received a tracking number via email, but when I went to the Sprint site to check on the order, I found a tracking number issued on the 10th. Today is the 12th and the tracking number for UPS still just shows that billing info was received. It doesn’t show that it was actually picked up/left the warehouse. It says 2nd day air so it seems like it should have left by today/tonight at the latest. I don’t get it :(
Ordered my at noon on friday the 7th and got confirmation that it was processed and then shipped from China, then landed in Alaska and now on route to me in Brooklyn NY. I am hopeful to get it by Thurs, but def. on friday 14. Come on UPS, please come early.
I got my email and tracking number one day after I bought it. I live in Wa. State. I talked to my UPS guy (we are on a first name basis as I work in a small town) and he said that they are about 5000,000 of our phones waiting in the HUB, in KY (where mine has been sitting for two days). My shipping info confirms this. He said they had a meeting and they (the phones) will be heading out to their varied destinations tomorrow.

Ordered mine (16GB Black) on Verizon’s website a few minutes after pre-orders opened. Received shipment notification this morning (Oct 12), but UPS didn’t have any data to post until this evening. It is currently at the UPS hub in Ontario, California. Strangely, it still shows an arrival date of the 14th, even though I am only 50 miles away and it is next-day shipping. I don’t think they hold packages, so I’m hoping it shows up a day early!
I just received my shipping notice (11:00PM Wed) with scheduled delivery on Friday and a current location “Departed HK” at 11:45 Wed (my time, not HK). The funny part is my regular UPS driver told me they had a bunch of Apple boxes in the local warehouse for Friday delivery and he assumes they are all iPhones.

My (Sprint) tracking number just updated! It says something about being in Kentucky as of this morning and it is scheduled for delivery by tomorrow end of day! UPS guy always comes around so late here so I probably won’t get it till about 7 p.m. or so. My cell phone case from Best Buy is scheduled for delivery tomorrow as well.

I ordered a white 16gb 4S from AT&T. My Fedex tracking info said it shipped today (oct 13) and will arrive tomorrow (oct 14). Shipping was free and I wasn’t charged any tax, so my total came out to 199.99

My fiances shipped notification for his black 64gb came on 10/13/11 at 12:03 am. We recieved his phone today 10/14/11 at 3:45 pm via UPS out of Dallas Fort Worth. However my notification for my 32gb white has not came in and we ordered them 20 min apart.

I’m in the exact same boat–my husband ordered a black 64gb and I ordered a white 32gb–his is hear but I don’t have a tracking number :-( darn. maybe tomorrow

I ordered mine on the night of the 7th from at&t and its still pending shipment..
I ordered mine on the 8th from apple, 32gb verizon white and it shipped today. It was estimated to ship on the 24th-31st. Lucky for me I guess. I found it interesting one of my family members who ordered directly from verizon several days after me would get theirs before mine haha.
Hey everyone. I pre-ordered my 16GB Black iPhone 4S at an AT&T retail store, Saturday October 8th, 2011 in the afternoon. I checked my order status today and it says that my iPhone is “backordered”. What does this mean and when do you think I’ll get it? I just can’t wait any longer!!!!

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4S on friday the 7th in the afternoon from an AT&T retail store and my tracking confirmation has said on backorder since I recieved my first confirmation email.
Has AT&T gave you any more info on when you may recieve the phone?
i ordered mine on the morning of the 7th from an AT&T store. still no tracking number, no phone, and AT&T says that it could potentially be delayed by as much as 3 weeks! it’s been 4 days already, and yet my friend who ordered his phone from the Apple Site on Saturday the 8th got his phone on Friday the 14th. this is pathetic.

I 0ordered my phone on the 9th and I called apple to see if they had a schedule and was told that my phone would arrive between the last week of October to the first week of November….
I am ready to cancel my Iphone 4s that I pre-ordered in the afternoon of October 7th and it still states in progress. I have no way of finding when I will get the phone and it has been over 2 weeks as of this writing on October 23rd. Apparfently Apple with out Steve is going down hill.
you should just contact apple customer service. they would’ve taken care of you’re problem a long time ago haha

Ordered my iphone 4s 16 g black on 10/23 from apple store (on premise could order by 9:00 pm and pick up at store next day. Ha!). Order status changed to Shipped today 11/3 – in Lantzau HK. Claim will arrive on 11/8. We’ll see.
I ordered my new IPHONE 4S from Verizon store in West Chester, Ohio on 10/29. The “sales associate” said it would be delivered today. I heard that the 4S is having battery problems. I wonder if the phones are still being shipped with knowledge of a defect?
