Domino’s Pizza app update lets you keep your eyes on your pies

You know that feature when you order online from Domino’s that keeps you posted on the process of your order and even tells you which employee has put your pizza in the oven, and who just left the store to bring it to you?

I love that feature, for some reason. I don’t think it makes me some kind of creepy pizza stalker, if that’s even a thing.

But my main issue is that I had to keep my laptop open to stay on top of the whole process. Luckily, however, Domino’s has addressed that one, strangely specific gripe with the latest update to its mobile app.

The latest update to the Domino’s Pizza app on iTunes has added Apple Watch functionality that lets you track your orders directly from your wrist. Is it a silly feature? Yes. But I’m going to use the hell out of it.

You can even access the Order Tracker as a Glance and just swipe up to see how far along the pizza birth is instead of opening the app from your Apple Watch’s home screen.

“The smart watch category is just getting started,” Domino’s chief digital officer Dennis Maloney told Forbes. “This is us getting ahead of the curve on that. It’s introducing a huge convenience in an important area that is just getting started.”

The update also adds iPhone support for Ford Sync 3, which lets drivers connect their iPhones to select Ford models and control functions with their voices. So if you’re all up-to-date, you could tell your car to order you a pizza on the way home and then track the delivery with your Watch once you get there.

Just make sure you wait until you get home to start using your Watch. Nobody wants to die for pizza.
