Apple’s October launch plans could extend beyond its rumored October 13 launch event, with the OLED MacBook Pro potentially debuting later in the month.
This could make its rumored October 13 smart home event just the start of a much bigger launch spree.
Apple’s October lineup keeps growing
Apple already had a busy September, launching the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, Ultra 4 and AirPods 4. The M5 Pro/M6 Mac mini and Mac Studio also went on sale during the month.
October seems to be shaping up to be even busier. Rumors point to Apple launching a faster Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini on October 13. The main highlight will be the company’s first smart home hub.
After that, the company will begin accepting preorders for the iPhone Duo starting October 16. The foldable will hit retail stores beginning October 23.
But that’s not all. Multiple MacRumors sources report that Apple will launch even more products in the final week of October. While it’s unclear what these products will be, Apple will likely take the wraps off its OLED MacBook Pro.
The OLED MacBook Pro could steal the show
macOS 27.2 beta already contains plenty of hints about the touchscreen MacBook Pro. Apart from the OLED display, the new MacBook will sport a lighter and thinner design.
With the OS update possibly dropping in November, a late October launch timeline makes sense for the new MacBook Pros. Even if Apple unveils the new MacBook Pros in late October, they should only hit the market in early November.
Besides the OLED MacBook Pro, Apple also has the OLED iPad mini and an iMac with M6 chips in the works.
By launching all its key devices in October or early November, Apple will have all of them on the store shelves before the holiday shopping season. That should give its Q4 2026 revenue a huge boost.
