The free Apple Sports app just added golf to its growing list of supported sports.
Golfers can get live scores on their iPhone for all official PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events, including the majors. And the fun starts this weekend with the PGA’s WM Phoenix Open.
Apple Sports goes golfing
First introduced in February 2024, Apple’s free Sports app soon became a favorite with fans who want real-time access to scores, stats, standings, and schedules from around the sporting world. Users can follow leagues such as the NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, Premier League, LaLiga and NHL — with their choice of sports and teams.
And golf just joined the list. Fans can track their favorite players with hole-by-hole results and individual scorecards. And there will be live leaderboards, plus scores from every round during each tournament throughout the year.
And football, too
Going beyond golf, the latest Apple Sports update adds some of Europe’s most popular soccer federation cups: DFB-Pokal, Coupe de France, Coppa Italia and Copa del Rey.
Don’t forget you can use the app to track the Super Bowl on Sunday, too. Live Activities deliver real-time updates directly to a user’s iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch.
Apple Sports is available for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It’s free to use.
