It’s been years since Apple got rid of CD drives in Macs, but apparently Adele didn’t get the memo. That’s all we can conclude from a new report, claiming that the team behind the gazillion album-selling songstress tried — and failed — to persuade Apple to sell physical CD copies of her upcoming album, 25, in Apple Stores.
Because, you know, it’s not like the company has a new streaming music service it’s focused on selling people on or anything!
Understandably, Apple is said to have declined the offer. But things may not stop there. William Morris Endeavor, the agency which represents Adele, is trying to get Apple to drop a massive $30 million on sponsoring Adele’s tour, although it’s not clear whether part of that deal would hinge on Apple Stores stocking her physical album.
If Apple agreed to the deal, it would be roughly 10 times the usual sponsorship a company would offer for a music tour.
If I was Apple, I’d take her up on it — but only on condition that she changed her name to iDele for the duration of the shows. And maybe read her lyrics off an Apple Watch.

Dumb. Don’t do it Apple. Don’t be silly like this writer and Adele.
Don’t put yourself down. But, yes, I think this would be misjudged.

Haha! That would be a great chance for Adele fans to get iPhones and iPads with CD drives. Apple had better think it through. :)))
While her management company is at it, why don’t they make Apple stock vinyl records of hers.
Just so long as the tour is available on Betamax, I’ll be happy.

Apple doesn’t have room in their stores for a pig pen. Fatty.

Who does she think she is, Taylor Swift?
That girl has some bad advisors…..
I’m not saying Apple should do that but Adele has much more class than U2. My two cents.
