Apple has delayed its annual Q2 financial report by one day to April 26, 2016.
Apple’s investor site shared the news Wednesday, saying the postponement is out of respect for Bill “The Coach” Campbell, one of Steve Job’s favorite tech advisors and longtime Apple board member, who passed away earlier this week.
The announcement says the second-quarter earnings announcement has been moved to Tuesday, April 26, at 2 p.m. Pacific out of respect for the friends and family of Campbell, whose memorial service will be held Monday.
“Apple executives and employees will be attending the service to remember Bill and his many years of friendship and service to the Apple community,” says the post on Apple’s investor page.
This is the first time we can remember an earnings report being rescheduled, but it’s certainly a positive move on the part of the tech giant from Cupertino.
When Steve Jobs passed away in 2011, Samsung and Google reportedly waited to launch their new handset, the Nexus Prime.
The rescheduled 2016 Q2 earnings report will be available on Tuesday, April 26, to anyone with a web browser on Apple’s investor page.
