Apple may have been producing units of its upcoming 4-inch smartphone for nearly a year.
The rumored iPhone 5se may seem like a product that’s come out of nowhere, but a new report claims Apple finished development and production on it months ago. Cupertino’s just been waiting for the perfect time to reveal the smaller phone.
What should we call the next 4-inch iPhone? The iPhone 7c? The iPhone 6c? The iPhone 5se?
No matter what it’s called, there’s every indication it’s coming. And if this video is to be believed, this might be our first glimpse of what it looks like.
We’ve heard enough at this point to be pretty sure that a 4-inch iPhone 6c is coming, but how will it stack up against the last 4-inch iPhone, the iPhone 5s? Pretty well, according to a new report: You can expect better battery life, better performance and better security!

The biggest wireless carrier in the world may have just revealed when the iPhone 6c 7c will finally launch.
Rumors of the iPhone 7c have been heating up the rumormill for months now, and with the device’s big unveiling supposedly just around the corner, it appears that China Mobile has accidentally confirmed to the world that the new low-cost iPhone will arrive by April 2016.

It hasn’t even been a year since the first Apple Watch went on sale, but fans waiting for Apple’s next-generation timepiece won’t have to wait much longer for the grand unveiling.

We’ve heard plenty of conflicting reports about when we should expect a new smaller, 4-inch iPhone “c” from Apple, but Piper Jaffray’s resident Apple analyst Gene Munster suggests that Cupertino would be wasting its time by releasing a sequel to 2013’s iPhone 5c.
Why? Because, Munster claims, customers don’t really want smaller handsets at all.

The upcoming 4-inch iPhone that has been picking up steam in the rumor mill the last few weeks won’t be a weakling when it comes to processing power, according to a new report that claims Apple’s new A9 chip will power the device.
Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI Securities told investors today that his sources indicate the iPhone 6c is definitely real, and that it will look more like the iPhone 5s than an iPhone 6.
Here’s another rumor to throw on that fire: Supply chain sources within Foxconn are allegedly saying the iPhone 6c is on track for a February 2016 debut.

A 4-inch iPhone 6c is rapidly becoming the iPhone equivalent to the Sasquatch — something much discussed, but never actually witnessed.
However, according to China’s IHS Technology Research Director Kevin Wang, we should keep faith because this mythical device is really on the way — and will be with customers by the middle of next year.

One of the more intriguing iPhone rumors this year has been the return of a 4-inch Apple handset in the form of the so-called iPhone 6c.
But what would it look like alongside the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus? To help us out, noted concept designer Martin Hajek has given us a special sneak preview.

The much-rumored iPhone 6c won’t be enough to let Apple compete for marketshare with super-low-cost Android smartphone makers, claims analyst group IDC — a.k.a. commentators who appear to have totally misunderstood Apple’s entire business model.

The rumored 4-inch iPhone 6c will boast an A8 processor, Touch ID and Apple Pay, according to a new report coming out of the Apple supply chain in China.

Apple could release its 4-inch iPhone 6c in November, according to a new rumor coming out of the supply chain in China.
The report claims that the handset is being assembled by regular Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn, which has started “mass-increasing” its workforce to deal with the task of building not one, not two, but three different iPhone models.

Looking at web logs to see which iPhones are currently being tested, a prominent mobile marketing company says there is evidence for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus — but no iPhone 6c.
Rumors about a 4-inch, low-cost iPhone 6c have been ramping up as of late, with recent reports claiming that it has been spotted in Apple’s manufacturing facilities and may even be released as early as next month. Now Fiksu’s report suggests it might not exist at all.

Apple could release the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and 6c at the same time, claims notorious leaker Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks on Twitter.
This is the latest in a series of reports suggesting that Cupertino is looking to offer a new 4-inch iPhone “c” model — having abandoned the name and form factor when it made the jump to phablet-sized phones.

Apple’s long-rumored (and eagerly anticipated) iPhone 5c successor, the iPhone 6c, may not have been shelved after all — but instead pushed back to the second quarter of 2016, according to a new report.
Sources in the supply chain say Apple’s next-gen budget smartphone will also boast advanced “FinFET” processors to deliver increased performance and greater power efficiency.
We know Apple will launch its iPhone 6s and 6s Plus this fall — you can bet your house on it — but what we don’t know is whether it will be accompanied by an iPhone 6c. For months it looked like the smaller, more affordable model was set to return, however, a recent report said Apple has scrapped that plan.
But does Apple really need an iPhone 6c?
The Cupertino company makes billions every quarter off its flagship models, and it has already stated it has no interest in building “cheap” devices to grab market share in emerging markets. But what about those who want a flagship iPhone that’s small enough to use with one hand?

Apple has scrapped plans to release a new iPhone with a 4-inch display, according to Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri.
Arcuri claims that Apple was previously considering an “iPhone 6-looking version of the iPhone 5c,” which would include the same internal components as the iPhone 6, but with the smaller form factor Apple ditched when it made the decision to go big with its smartphones.
It will be two years this September since Apple introduced its last iPhone “c” model, but if you believe a new report coming out of Asia, Apple’s planning on reintroducing its lower-cost colorful iPhone line early next year — with the launch of a brand new iPhone 6c.
But learning from lessons of the past, this one will be a little bit different.

Is Apple preparing to deliver a refreshed iPhone 5c? A product image on its own online store shows what could be a new iPhone 6c sitting atop the new Lightning iPhone dock. The device carries the same plastic back we’re already familiar with, as well as a Touch ID sensor.

Apple decided to kill the iPhone C lineup when it debuted the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but the colorful plastic cases could be making a comeback in 2015, based on an alleged leak out of Apple’s supply chain.
A new 4-inch iPhone 6c might debut alongside the iPhone 6s this fall, according to leaked images that show an iPhone rear shell similar in size to the iPhone 5c. But this design may come with a few tweaks.

Whispers about three new iPhones set to arrive this September are emanating from Apple’s Chinese supply chain — suggesting that we may be set to receive the expected iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, alongside a 4-inch iPhone referred to currently as the iPhone 6c.
Check out details about internal components, possible pricing and projected sales below.
A somewhat surprising lack of interest in the iPhone 5c means Apple’s unlikely to have another stab at a more affordable iPhone category for a long time, but these beautiful mockups of a would-be iPhone 6c make us wish that wasn’t the case.
As rumors start to coalesce into likely fact that the iPhone 6 will come in two larger sizes — a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch ‘iPhone Air’ — one big question that arises is what will happened to the iPhone 5c. Will Apple shelf their ‘budget’ iPhone, based upon poor sales? Or will they reinvent it when the iPhone 6s finally comes around?
Our favorite armchair iDevice designer Martin Hajek thinks the latter. He thinks that the iPhone c-series will live on, and in a stunning series of renders, he shows just how beautiful the iPhone 6c could be while still leaving room for the iPhone 6s to be the ‘luxury’ device with smaller bezels, TouchID and other perks.
More images after the jump. What do you think? Would you buy an iPhone 6c that looks like this?
