This is one time where the bridesmaid wore white, sort of upstaged the bride and nobody minded.

How many times have you been walking around you home or office using your iPad and it slips out of your hands? I did it a number of times with my first iPad — thankfully without causing too much damage — but with the HandStand 2 ($50) you can eliminate drops altogether.

Woe be the mighty HP. Retail giant Best Buy wants the PC maker’s tablets off its shelves after selling just 25,000 TouchPads. That’s not all, Walmart and others are also having trouble getting rid of the devices, according to a Wednesday report. Say it with us: there’s no tablet market, only an iPad market.

After a hard day’s work, I like to sit in front of the TV and stick my feet up my a hot cup of tea and a copy of the day’s paper. Other Brits feel the need for something a little more exciting, such as looting electrical stores for anything they can sell on the black market and torching whatever’s left.

HP has announced that it will keep the HP TouchPad permanently discounted $100 from the original retail price of $500. Following last’s weekend sale of the TouchPad at the reduced price point, HP has said that it is “pleased with customer response” to the price drop, and that the TouchPad’s price will be permanently cut to $400.

TouchPad sales have been unnoticeable at best, and this price cut can be seen as a clear move for HP to stay relevant in light of the iPad’s dominance.

Coming off a successful court ruling banning Samsung’s Galaxy Tab in most of Europe, Apple apparently is suing Motorola over the Xoom, Wednesday reports say. However, some warn Apple’s strategy of lawsuits to protect market share carries a costly risk.

Verizon has followed AT&T’s lead and taken measures to block customers from tethering their iPhone’s data connections illegally. Customers have long been using jailbreak apps to avoid their carrier’s additional monthly fee for tethering, but this method may no longer work if you’re signed up to AT&T or Verizon.

If you thought Apple was already doing well, think again. The tech giant, already challenging the likes of Exxon-Mobile, is on track to double or even triple its market share, according to one Wall Street analyst.
