Apple has teamed up with Globant, a consultancy that helps businesses prepare for a “digital and cognitive future,” to launch a new Earn Your Apple Watch program. Aimed at companies and their employees, the configurable white label app and reward program uses Apple Watch’s various activity tracking tech to boost employee wellness.
The app allows Apple Watch-wearing employees to earn rewards by completing monthly activity goals. Those rewards could be goods or services vouchers, larger vendor-specific purchases, or even discounts on a new Apple Watch. It’s a smart way of trying integrate Apple Watch into businesses that want to get their employees moving.

A new “World Timer” face for Apple Watch has been spilled ahead of its release in a WWDC 2021 developer session.
The face didn’t get a mention during Apple’s watchOS 8 announcement on Monday, and isn’t yet available inside the first developer beta. Fans will be hoping it does appear before watchOS 8 makes its public debut.

The Apple Watch is not slowing down when it comes to its dominance of the smartwatch market. According to a new report by Counterpoint Research, Apple Watch recorded an impressive 50% annual growth in Q1, claiming an impressive 33% of the overall global smartwatch industry.
Meanwhile, a separate report from the International Data Corporation said Apple shipped 30.1 million Apple Watches for the quarter, representing an almost 29% share of the market. While the reports differ slightly on the numbers, the take-home message is that Apple is killing it when it comes to smartwatches.

The next-gen Apple Watch could get a huge makeover, with a new, flat-edged design and a green option reminiscent of the AirPods Max.
The redesign would bring Apple Watch into line with the flatter design language and form factor of current-gen Apple products including the iPhone 12, iPad Pro and iPad Air. Apple tipster Jon Prosser revealed the info about the upcoming wearable, likely to be marketed as Apple Watch Series 7, on an episode of his Genius Bar podcast with Sam Kohl.
