Meta’s Muse personal AI agent just arrived on the iPad. Wednesday’s release gives Apple’s tablet a native version of an AI assistant that has quickly become one of Meta’s most visible consumer AI products.

iPad support arrives less than a month after Muse launched on iPhone (and Android).

Meta Muse jumps up a bigger iPad screen

Meta describes Muse as a personal AI agent that can actually carry out tasks on a user’s behalf. It can browse the web, make purchases, generate images and documents, connect to other services, and work through multistep projects.

The mobile version launched in early September and quickly climbed to the top of the App Store’s free iPhone app rankings. Meta subsequently released a Mac version, giving the agent access to desktop files and other computer-based tasks.

Meta updates Muse frequently, and the latest version adds native iPad support, allowing the AI agent to take advantage of the tablet’s large display and iPadOS multitasking features.

The basic experience remains similar to the iPhone version of Muse. But the iPad’s additional screen real estate should make it easier to follow Muse’s work while switching between apps.

Muse adds more business skills

Native iPad support isn’t the only new feature in Muse 10.0. The update also ushers in improvements aimed at small businesses. Meta urges users to give the application a business goal and have it plan marketing content, create client pitches, and develop new product pages.

The app can now connect to services including Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Zoom, Asana and Klaviyo. New connectors also include Granola and Notion.

You can download Muse for iPad from the App Store. It’s free.

Just take note that while Meta promises it built the service to be “safe, secure, [and] private,” the App Store indicates that the software tracks every possible type of user data. Not surprising, considering that Meta is, at heart, an advertising company.
