Wall Street must have liked what it saw during Apple’s WWDC 2018 keynote this morning because the company’s stock has shot up to a new all-time high.
Despite the lack of any new hardware announcements, Apple shares climbed up to close at $191.87, besting the previous end-day high of $190.04 set on May 10.
During Apple’s keynote, the share price shot up to a high of $193.42 before dropping to its closing price.
The stock has been steadily climbing since the beginning of the year. Mega-investor Warren Buffet’s firm Berkshire Hathaway has been scooping up as much Apple stock as possible and is now the world’s third-largest Apple shareholder.
Apple’s WWDC 2018 did have at least one new treat for investors. The company overhauled its Stocks app for iOS, adding business news into it as part of iOS 12. Stocks is also coming to the Mac this fall as part of the macOS Mojave update.
