iPhone 8 color options to include mirror-like finish

The new OLED iPhone 8 will come in four different color options including a new mirror-like reflective version, claims Twitter designer and leaker Benjamin Geskin.

Geskin shared an image of an existing iPhone in a mirror case with his post, although he suggests that the iPhone 8 will look very similar.

If true, Geskin’s post appears to conflict with a recent one from usually-reliable KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggested that the new iPhone will come in fewer color options than previous models as a way to enhance its “boutique” status.

That doesn’t necessarily preclude a mirrored iPhone being among them, but it does conflict with the idea that Apple will ship four different color options. Geskin doesn’t elaborate on what the other colors might include.

Also over the weekend, YouTuber Unbox Therapy shared what he claims is a prototype of the new iPhone 8. Backing up a lot of previous reports we’ve heard about the new handset, the “prototype” features a 5.8-inch screen in a slender body not much bigger than the standard iPhone 7, no front Touch ID sensor, and also an elongated power switch for easier reachiability.

You can check out our post here for more details about what we’re expecting to see from the iPhone 8. It is likely to be shown off by Apple this fall, accompanied by iPhone 7s and 7s Plus handsets, boasting slight upgrades from the present iPhone 7.
