Shortly after last night’s presidential debate, Apple Music published a teaser for an Apple Music exclusive conversation between Hillary Clinton and Mary J. Blige.
The interview promises to get up close and personal with Clinton, and to address some hard-hitting subjects like police brutality. And it’s available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers.
The trailer shows Blige singing to Clinton: “If an officer stops you, always be polite, and never ever run away. Promise momma you’ll keep your hands inside. Is it a gun? Is it a knife? Is it a wallet? This is your life. It ain’t no secret. It ain’t no secret, no secret my friend. You can get killed just for living in your American skin.”

Blige then asks Clinton (who sadly doesn’t join in the singing), “I just want to know, where do we go from here?” If you want to get Hillary’s answer, however, you’ll have to wait until the episode debuts on September 30 — available for Apple Music subscribers.
While Apple Music has rarely dipped too deeply into political issues before — keeping most of its exclusives music-based — Tim Cook (as a private citizen) has been clear in his support of the Democratic candidate. Last month, Cook teamed up with the Hillary Victory Fund to host a fundraiser with tickets costing anywhere up to $50,000.
Well, we guess he was never going to be pro-Trump after the company’s falling out with the Republican candidate over Apple’s privacy policy!
