If Samsung’s ever going to quit ripping off Apple’s design team and make their own damn products, they show no sign of abating, as the latest product design to be ripped off by Samsung is their new Chromebox, which looks almost identical to the Mac mini: a tiny aluminum box with a black circular opening at the bottom. Unbelievable.

This could be a sign of Korean culture. Recently, South Korea purchased a rocket from Japan, built by Mitsubishi. It had the Mitsubishi logo and the Japanese flag painted on the side. I’m shocked at people that don’t believe Samsung has shamelessly ripped off Apple. Look at all the evidence on all the links posted with this article, if you can’t see it then you must be blind or you’re in denial. I find it despicable to steal other people’s ideas and designs. And on top of it all, Samsung has the nerve to sue Apple for patent infridgements, shameless Samsung…
Yep. Google is shameless. Next thing they’ll shamelessly copy would probably be the iPod Nano that people wear on their wrists. Unless they already did that.
Besides the port layouts its a straight rip of the mac mini body. Good thing the specs absolutely blow.
no doubt they continue to rip off apple’s design, but i actually prefer the darker color of the samsung box, and wish that apple would do two things – offer macs in black [again] and change the ugly white keys on the keyboards to black to match the keys on the mbp!

Not just Samsung, look at Hyundai’s Genesis Sedan, have you seen it before? A bit of Mercedes + BMW + Lexus…Korean just the old time Japanese, they just copy everything they seen.
Apple should stop releasing new products for one year and let’s see if Samsuck come up with anything different in that time. I dout it, but then what else would you expect from a brain dead, corrupt company like Samsuck. Aren’t Koreans just a copy of the Japanese anyway? They know no bounds.

Another day, another Samsung rip-off. Doesn’t surprise me. Apple will always do it better anyway. It’s not always the first, but does it better most of the time. Samsung sells a cheaper lower quality imitation. The iPhone 5 will blow the Galaxy S III out of the water because it will be the biggest phone launch in history. Customers will decide who does it best, as they should in a free market society.

Samsung has made their mission to copy every single details from Apple. They like it, they want it, they do it, but should they?

I keep wondering how long it will take for people to start realizing that the apple vs samsung and vice versa is just a show for the public. Seriously, consider the amount of free advertising both companies has gotten because of their “feuds”. The amount of money spent in courtrooms is nothing compared to the free multi-national advertising/publicity they get in return.
The lawsuits are publicity stunts.
One sues the other = Free advertising
The other sues back = Free advertising
They try to work it out = Free advertising
They fail working it out = Free advertising
Sometimes a product gets banned, you can still buy them = Free advertising
They make a small change and the products gets unbanned = Free advertising.
And so the cycle repeats while going on in different countries.
Almost everytime one sues the other, you get information or pictures about both products
Samsung will be a supplier for Apple as long as they both benefit from their propaganda sqquabling.
There is always going to be a demand for alternative products to Apples.
If you can’t beat them, join them and save yourself from monopoly issues as well.
I can’t believe it here. This is supposed to be a “news” site for Mac and you’re putting up so called “articles” on copying where no where else gives a damn? And the people here, you know what’s wrong, is that you only see what Google or Samsung copies and not what Apple copies, E.g notification center in iOS 5. One more thing, Apple innovates? Don’t kid yourself, they innovate in marketing to cheat you consumers to pay for things packaged in a fancy way and put a huge price tag. I hope you guys wake up.
Google’s guilty too. As you already pointed out, they blatantly copied LaunchPad but they also copied Windows 7 with the SnapAero feature and task-bar. Almost like it’s no big deal to totally rip off other software designs that look EXACTLY the same. Not even attempting to take the same idea and giving it your own spin. No, these design cues are a complete carbon copy.
The supposed mac Mini photo is not one. UGLY. This posting is plain incorrect.
Does anyone realize that you’re looking at the bottom of the Mac Mini and the Chromebox? It’s something no one will even see.

What free market are you talking about ? The one where Apple it trying to block Samsung products from entering the country just because it is afraid of real competition and is abusing the stupid patent system ?
I have to tell you though, the S3 is here to stay and Apple’s goal right now is to be able to keep up with Samsung, because right now Samsung leads and Apple follows.
Apple may be releasing some new stuff this next week, so Samsung is about to get more great new ideas! This is really pathetic considering that Samnsung is actually a very creative company, and they make great products (except for their Spin Point laptop hard drives). Why can’t they compete with Apple using their own ideas? I don’t get it.
