Savvy shoppers can now buy Apple Watch Series 9 from Apple’s Certified Refurbished store. It’s a no-risk way to pick up the wearable at up to $110 below the usual price.
These are primarily devices that consumers bought then returned so supplies and selection are somewhat limited.
Apple’s latest wearable has plenty to offer
Buying a brand new Apple product feels nice and reassuring. But there’s also a lot to be said for saving money, and choosing a refurbished Apple Watch Series 9 will let you do that. Just be aware, buyers can only choose from the colors and band combinations that Apple has in stock.
Series 9 builds on its predecessors with a super-bright display and a new Apple S9 processor that enables a double-tap gesture to launch certain functions without touching the screen.
It includes ECG functionality, sleep monitoring and step tracking. Plus there’s Fall Detection and Crash Detection, and an Emergency SOS feature, too. Just be aware, the wearable now comes with blood-oxygen sensing disabled because of a lawsuit.
The device is ready to go where you do. It’s crack resistant, IP6X-certified dust resistant, and swimproof with 50m water resistance.

Save with refurbished Apple Watch Series 9
The regular price for Apple Watch Series 9 with a 41mm screen is $339, but Apple is now offering refurb units at $60 below that in its Certified Refurbished store. Buyers can also save $60 off the $369 45mm version by choosing a refurb.
The 41mm cellular-wireless version is ordinarily $499 but an Apple refurb knocks $70 off that. And shoppers can save at least $80 with a 45mm cellular-wireless model. The savings go up to $110 for models with premium Watch bands.

Not every configuration of Apple Watch Series 9 is available through Apple’s Certified Refurbished store. It depends entirely on which units have been returned.
Don’t be afraid
When someone buys a product from Apple then returns it, it is resold after going through a refurbishment process, as is happening with Apple Watch Ultra 2 now. Apple prepares these so you’re not taking any risk. Each unit is cleaned and undergoes full functional testing, then gets repackaged with appropriate manuals and cables.
Each comes with the company’s standard one-year limited warranty, and customers can add AppleCare+.
