Apple AirPods Pro 2 updated with USB-C and more
AirPods Pro 2 originally launched a year ago, but Apple souped up the earbuds with some new features at its Wonderlust event on September 12.
Most notably, the charging case now boasts a USB-C port because Apple is finally dumping the old Lightning connector. The switch in ports makes the updated version of AirPods Pro 2 the best match for the iPhone 15 series, which also uses USB-C.
If you want the new port, you must buy a whole new pair of wireless earbuds. They are not sold separately (at least for now).
USB-C is not the only change, though. The newest version has an IP54 rating, which means that they now offer limited protection from dust and other articles.

What makes this deal amazing is that AirPods Pro 2 with a USB-C charging case isn’t even on the market yet. It’ll start reaching customers on Friday, September 22. And Best Buy says that an order placed Monday will ship on or before that date. Or you can pick up Apple’s upgraded AirPods Pro 2 at one of Best Buy’s retail stores.
