A crazy good deal on the new AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C case lets you save $60 off the retail price. And this despite the wireless earbuds being on the market for just over a month.

Apple’s new top-of-the-line wireless earbuds take advantage of all the latest new bells and whistles in iOS 17. Plus, they bring additional new features besides the port change, including additional dust resistance and the promise of high-res audio when paired with Apple Vision Pro.

AirPods Pro 2 updated with USB-C and more

AirPods Pro 2 originally launched a year ago, but Apple souped up the earbuds with some new features at its Wonderlust event in September. Most notably, the charging case now boasts a USB-C port because Apple is finally dumping the old Lightning connector. The switch in ports makes the updated version of AirPods Pro 2 the best match for the iPhone 15 series, which also uses USB-C.

At this point, if you want the new port, you must buy a whole new pair of earbuds. The case is not sold separately (at least for now).

USB-C is not the only change, though. The updated second-gen AirPods Pro comes with an improved IP54 rating, which means the earbuds offer limited protection from dust and other particles.

And if you have your heart set on an Apple Vision Pro headset when it debuts in 2024, you probably want a pair of these new headphones. When working together, the two devices can handle 20-bit, 48 kHz Lossless Audio.

All AirPods Pro 2 models, new and old, gain access to new audio features with iOS 17, including Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness.

Save 20% on Apple’s best AirPods Pro yet

The regular price for AirPods Pro 2 with a USB-C charging case is $249 in Apple’s online store. But Amazon said “pish posh” and went ahead and knocked $60 off the cost. If you want Apple’s newest wireless earbuds for $189, definitely hop on Amazon’s deal while it lasts. Or if you prefer more of a brick-and-mortar experience, Best Buy charges $199 for  the wireless earbuds — that’s almost as good.

(In case you’re wondering, Amazon also currently sells the Lightning version of AirPods Pro for the same $189, but who wants last year’s model?)

At this price, you can even add Apple Care+ — which gives you two years of warranty coverage for just $29 — for less than the AirPods Pro’s retail price. Apple Care+ can definitely come in handy, especially for heavy AirPods users who might run into battery life problems due to frequent use. In our experience, AirPods sometimes run into problems after about 18 months, with battery drain, problems pairing properly, and other issues.

Don’t be put off though: these are the best earbuds money can buy and you won’t be disappointed.
