The Apple Pencil 2 is again down to its lowest price of $89, a sweet $40 off its $129. If you use your iPad heavily for note-taking or sketching, the Apple Pencil 2 is a no-brainer.

Apple’s handy iPad accessory can magnetically attach to the tablet and charge wirelessly.

Apple Pencil 2 is a must-have iPad accessory

The 2nd generation Apple Pencil works with the iPad mini 6, iPad Air (4/5), and all iPad Pro models launched in the last few years. On the M2 iPad Pro, you can cover the Apple Pencil 2 up to 12 mm above the display, and the tablet will react to it. A preview of the mark will appear first, allowing users to sketch and illustrate with greater precision. With Scribble, text fields will automatically expand when you bring the pencil near the screen.

Unlike the first-generation model, you don’t need to plug the stylus into your iPad for charging. Instead, attach it to the side of your iPad, and it will start charging wirelessly.

The pencil will also let you take better advantage of Apple’s Freeform brainstorming app on your iPad or Mac.

Unlike Macs and iPads, the Apple Pencil 2 is rarely discounted by such a huge margin. So, if you have been eyeing the pencil for a while for your iPad, make sure to pull the trigger on this deal. A $40 discount makes the Apple Pencil 2 a must-buy iPad accessory.

Once the pencil arrives, make sure to change these two Apple Pencil settings on your iPad. Also, check out quick fixes for some common Apple Pencil problems here.
