There’s never been a better time to buy an iPad mini 6, the brilliantly redesigned model from 2021. You can pick up Apple’s smallest tablet at its smallest price yet: an amazing $99 below the usual cost for the base model. And those willing to upgrade to more storage can save $109.

This deal is just in time for Mother’s Day. Plus Father’s Day and high school graduations are also coming up. An iPad mini makes a great gift!

A mini to the max

The 2021 iPad mini 6 is a big improvement over earlier versions. It sports an 8.3-inch edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display, up from 7.9 inches. And it has a blazing-fast A15 Bionic chip.

There’s a USB-C port in place of Lightning, and a Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the power button.

On the back of the iPad mini 6 is a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture. On the front is a second 12-megapixel sensor with an Ultra Wide lens. This supports Center Stage, a nifty AI trick lets the front-facing camera follow someone on a video call.

The Cult of Mac review of this model says, “the iPad mini is a fantastic device.”

Save 20% on 2021 iPad mini 6

Apple’s regular price for base model iPad mini 6 is $499, but Amazon said “to hell with that” and knocked 20% off the cost. That means you can now pick up the tablet for $399.99.

The $99.01 discount is available on every color option of the computer, as long as it has 64GB of storage.

Those looking for more capacity can go with the 256GB option instead. Amazon has a deal on this too, but it varies by device color. The usual cost is $649, but the space grey and starlight version are now $109.99 off. Amazon knocked $99.01 off the pink version, but there’s no discount for the purple one.

Don’t wait to make a purchase. Great deals like these might not last long.
