iPad Air 5 with M1 chip drops to its lowest price yet

Apple announced the 2022 iPad Air 5 a month ago at its “Peek Performance” event, with the device going up for preorder soon after. While the tablet retains the same design as the 2020 model, it features a notably faster M1 chip, 8GB RAM, optional support for 5G cellular and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera with Apple’s fantastic Center Stage feature.

That’s plenty of horsepower for even the most demanding of tasks. In fact, he iPad Air is an excellent value, since it delivers the same performance as the 2021 iPad Pro.

Despite these improvements, the iPad Air 5 retains the same price tag as its predecessor — the base model with a paltry 64GB storage starts for $599, while the bump to the 256GB version will cost you another $150.

Save on the 256GB upgrade

The current $70 discount from Amazon brings the 256GB iPad Air 5’s price to $679, making the jump in storage tier a lot more reasonable.

While Apple offers its latest iPad in five colors, the discount is only applicable on the space gray shade. And if you think 64GB of storage is going to be enough for you, the base model is also on sale for $569.99 — down from $599, but sadly only in the space gray color as well.

It is rare for Apple products to be discounted so heavily within a month of their launch. Plus, these are the lowest prices the iPad Air 5 has dropped to in the last 30 days, so pick one up as soon as possible.
