It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown, the first-ever Peanuts Earth Day special, premieres April 15 on Apple TV+. It tells the story of how a single flower inspires the Peanuts gang to start caring for the environment, and features an original song by American singer-songwriter Ben Folds.
A trailer for the upcoming special debuted Thursday.
Peanuts Earth Day special makes environmentalism personal
In celebration of Earth Day, It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown follows Sally’s bond with a special little flower on the baseball field that may spell disaster for the big game. For Charlie Brown and the team, it’s just the inspiration they need to make a positive impact on their environment.
The special, which was produced by WildBrain, will debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 15. That is, naturally, Earth Day.
More about Charlie Brown and the gang on Apple TV+
The special will soon be followed by another that mixes environmentalism with baseball. It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown, will premiere April 29 on Apple TV+. To celebrate Arbor Day, the Peanuts baseball team turns the field into a lush garden, throwing Peppermint Patty off her game.
And then there’s To Mom (and Dad), With Love, launching on Friday, May 6, just in time for Mother’s Day the following Sunday.
These additions come just a few months after the debut of a fresh New Year’s Eve Peanuts special, produced exclusively for Apple by WildBrain.
